  1. You will be ok ! I’ve been on the NSPB since 2015 and been working at VA since 2011. The probation period falls under your managers recommendation and the associate chief nurse. However , do let us know and this is learning lesson now that wound care of yours will be top notch ?
  2. The NPSB has nothing to do with disciplinary action. The board is there to appoint, promote and award. Don't worry yourself and that should be on a unit level/possible reeducation. patient harmed?
  3. Be patient with the VA it can take awhile. I believe it took me 6 months before hearing anything. The fact usajobs still has a status is great ! Hope you all the best

The statement above is correct regarding report parameters. Also there should be a case manager you report to for administrative purposes? Maybe reach out to them getting report parameters ordered if not in chart etc...

Change can be good ! We as humans get comfortable. Be aware the VA hiring process takes a little time so don’t get discouraged. You will definitely have to get acls certified for ICU and you will be in training for probably 4+ weeks. You got this:) VA also has amazing benefits
  6. At the VA you get paid double time whether or not you work the holiday or not. For example December 25th was my “D” (day off) and the 26th was my “HW”(Holiday worked)so I was paid double time the day after . Now thanksgiving was given off “HE” (holiday excused) paid regular time.
  7. South Louisiana 32.00 hourly, 10% after 6pm, Sat and Sun premium 25% , double time holidays, 5 weeks annual leave and 2.5 sick leave from date of hire
  8. Ok are you speaking of the nurse professional standards board(NPSB) VA hospital ?
