  1. I’m praying things go your way. How scary! I always worry about false positive tests. I’ve been lucky so far as not to have this problem. I wish all the luck in the world.
  2. Man, early release! That sound great! Good Luck!
  3. I think every state is different. With everything probation requires I won’t even attempt going back to school until this is all over and my license is free and clear. Life is tough enough and I want to keep it simple. I commend you for wanting to do more!

    Congratulations! What An amazing accomplishment!!
  5. Thank you for the positive comments!!!! My anxiety has turned into pure joy!!! A lot of work but he has already added to our family in so many ways! thanks again!
  6. I recently made this decision to add to our family.........I am know the caretaker of a beautiful golden retriever puppy. I have heard and read about pets being good therapy animals and how they can help with the addiction disease process. However, I feel like he is increasing my anxiety which is becoming a little problematic for me. He is a lot of work. Maybe I am just overwhelming myself by the thought of all the extra work. I have a 15 yr old son who is faced with a lot of pressures about drugs and alcohol with in his school. He fell in love with this dog and I guess I was thinking if he had a dog “as a best friend “ it would help him cope better with outside pressures. Does anyone have any experience in animals and how they can help!
  7. Rosa09, Thank you for that! Today is better. I need to remember that Somethings just need to run it’s course and worrying about things aren’t going to change the situation. Thank you for your thoughts!
  8. Have some unforeseen circumstances show up at my doorstep! Man what a weekend. Feeling overwhelmed and anxious but I’m just gonna roll with the punches. I use a self therapy called Tapping. Anyone have any other things I can do to help with anxiety?
  9. Congratulations!!! That is awesome! Must feel real good. I am afraid to ask when my contract. Is up. The less contact the better.
  10. While I don’t believe that the “boards” are out to get us; I do feel they overstep a lot. I’ve heard of occasions where they’ve contacted people’s sponsors and even there counselors. I go to my meetings and I go to my counselors to keep my sobriety intact, not just to appease the board. I was very bitter and anger when I got out on a contract because I felt at the time it wasn’t warranted because it came from past iasues(like 8 yrs past).....It took awhile to realize they were right. All I had done is changed from drugs to alcohol.......My life today is full and that is partly to do with the Board. I am thankful and grateful of what I have today.
  11. Very sad situation and my heart goes out to you. I wish you all the best.
  12. Thank you! I agree!
  13. Thank you both for the great advice! Once last question. While I’m open and try to be very forth coming about my past , I’ve never spilled all the dirty details of my drug past. It came mostly before he was born, but I did have a relapse when he was just a baby.......is all that necessary to divulge?
  14. The answer is yes, you can test positive for THC for second hand exposure. Skip the concert and go to a nice dinner.
