CONGRATULATIONS!!!! ? ? What is your schedule like? I want to get into the evening program as well but would like to keep my day job.

if you have been enrolled in SCCC under a liberal arts degree you could take the prereq classes before starting your LPN program. However, if you are enrolled under the LPN program you may want to speak to counseling. Also, if you take the pre-req. now it would probably be PT and that will impact your financial aid. Every case is different - I recommend speaking with Counseling and Financial Aid to make sure this is feasible.

Question RE: A&P at SCCC I need to take A&P next semester and I was wondering which class I should pair it with. Any advise? also, if you too this course in SCCC and your professor was AWESOME, please share name and campus? Thank you all!!!

Interesting. Brain dead - so a person who is 'brain dead' will eventually return back to him/herself in a predictable period of time? I do believe the elderly should not be discarded. But I also think the circle of life should take its course. Scientist playing god is scary - no one really knows how much a person suffers while in lifesupport (laying there - eyes closed, unable to speak their mind, with multiple tubes, probably wishing we just let them go) just an opinion - no one really knows what they are thinking. anyways - I'm not at all familiar with the term Brain Dead. I've heard some speak of out-of-body experiences but that's really it. so not sure where you want to go with this.

Why do I feel like we are discussing two different things? ? when you say parasite I think of: tapeworm, pinworm, lice and ticks (gross). How are these host comparable to a fetus? ? I dont understand the logic here. Honestly. When I was 9 yrs old my doc told me I had parasites and I was given meds. I got a chance to see those things a live - they are some scary monsters - I couldn't believe those thing were inside me; and how in the world did they get in there? gross anyway - now I'm the mother of three lovely boys. seeing both leave my body I still dont get your logic. ? but thank you for taking the time to forward the link ? much appreciated.

Exactly. why are women using abortion as a contraception? killing of the unborn has been so desensitised - pro-choice supporters are calling the unborn parasite? that's not even science based. a baby is the product of two people having intercourse (not the cause of all life's problems). do it responsibly.

Lets get real here. What you see is a baby in the making - just like after birth, even then babies appearance change over time as babies are growing and developing. If you took a picture at a new born baby and then another picture in 5 years, the child will look very, very different. but not any less the same person. Do not negate the value of life just because its convenient.

She could just be intimidated by the new role and responsibility. I'm just curious why she is asking other nurses for help? hummm? I've trained individuals who just dont seem interested in the position and dont take notes and ask me for refreshers as situations arise. very frustrating to say the least.

Years ago I came across this child safety video, while searching for local news about a father running over his two year old while backing up into his drive way - didnt know them but I cried. Its really scary. I just wanted to add - that today we have rear-view mirrors for the car seat / I mean talk to your child specially if you are a working mom and time is scares. make your baby laugh on your way to wherever. Boding is really great to void things like this - my sister used to tell me all the time "talk to your child as early as conception, because they can hear you" having conversations with my baby in the car made me aware of his presence. and I didnt want him to feel ignore or irrelevant.

Thank you for identifying the problem. It is the real issue here. Public schools are responsible for creating a safe environment - zero tolerance for violence. Creating a positive atmosphere requires the involvement of the superintendent, school staff, and student. Empower the kids and let the students lead this change. idk - brainstorming out loud. it's just sad, and i'm afraid for my own children.

Well said, bullies have been around for years. it happened to me too - I was a new foreign student, in forth grade; I a girl attacked me on the bus on my way home. The driver didn't do a thing to protect me or separate us. My mother had to get involve but it is really scary stuff. and the schools are not doing enough. the staff aren't trained and do not want to get involve. as a parent I do my very best to help my children avoid becoming a target.
