  1. Well @mg10 I don't think I can help answer if it's worth transferring because I don't know anything about other programs. As for this one... I am finishing my 4th semester so I'll be 1/2 done in 4 weeks. I think it's completely manageable to work full time but then, my kids are grown and thus I don't have any other obligations. I've observed a couple of people in my cohort be quite negative... they thought that all the courses would be "here's how you diagnose that." However, as you know or will learn the consensus model says that all APRNs will have phatho, pharm and advanced assessment yada yada.... so I suspect that is the same in all programs. I hope you find the answer you're looking for.....
  2. Hey @danceismyescape I just randomly stumbled across your post. Hopefully you are in school now and it all worked out. Unfortunately I don't recall what points I had. Best wishes!
  3. Too early to tell ?
  4. Hi guys, I'm a late add, I just got notified on Tuesday. My request is pending in facebook. ?
  5. Yeah! Something I know something about! I am a new grad and just started my internship today. I have an engineering BS and an MBA and decided to become a nurse. I live in Dallas/Fort Worth and TWU and the local community college NCTC has a blended program where I did my ADN and BSN at the same time in two years. Several folks did that and we had a good rate if completion. This route allowed me to get it done and still work part time. Best of luck to you!
  6. @mswink Yeah!! Congratulations, I know that feeling (thank goodness)!! All the best!
  7. Same! I don't know what state you are in, but for me. I took the test 6/8 @ 1pm and on 6/10 when I woke up at 6am the Texas BON web site already showed my license active. The "quick results" didn't become available until 12pm that day. So I know it sounds stupid, but I wanted to see the quick results say pass too, so I paid the $7. ?
  8. Girl same! Mine turned out OK and your’s probably will too!
  9. The testing center was super secure and the paper I was given to read said minimum 75 questions, max 265. My test cut off at 75. They said we can't attempt to reconstruct any questions from memory and luckily I don't think your question is asking that ? What I've read said there can be math, SATA, put in order, hot spot selections, multiple choice, etcetera and I think it is completely random. I personally got 0 math and 0 put in order type questions. It felt like 80% of the questions were SATA in my case. The rest were just multiple choice. These SATA can be prioritization as in what would you do in a given situation. And the systems and disease processes where across the board even in a single question. It probably doesn't help you any because the next person's experience is probably completely different. What I would say is know your major illnesses, signs & symptoms, meds for them, assessments, and know all your lab values. Also know your electrolytes and glucose hypo and hyper signs and symptoms. I guess I'm saying if you have a good foundation and then do all the UWorld questions, studying the rationales they give, I think it will be fine. UWorld helped me tons, if I missed a question I would read their info and then look back in my text book and class notes to really brush up on that topic. Also I "marked" every question I got wrong so once I finished the database of questions, I made new tests of only questions I'd gotten wrong, and went through it all again and again. Sending you good vibes and wishes! You got this!
  10. Hi, I tested at the Carrollton location in the DFW area. I'm not much help about what to do only what I shared before about using UWorld and ATI BoardVitals. I kind of giggle when I read all the people who felt they passed when they walked out... maybe they did, I sure didn't but it all worked out. Best of luck!
  11. I just wanted to share my experience. I took the NCLEX on 6/8/21 in Texas. I spent all of that evening and yesterday reading blogs and watching Youtube video's about how to prepare for your next try. My exam shut off at 75 questions but I could only remember feeling really confident about 5 or so questions. It seemed like for every question I just thought, "well I'm just gonna go with that and hit next." The proctor was probably thinking I was crazy because I dropped my head every time I resigned myself to hit next. I used UWorld and was feeling good because I did all but about the last 200 questions. I also did ATI board vitals and did over half the ~3400 questions. I called my husband when I left going.... there were so many questions/answers I hadn't seen or I would get a question that I'd seen with answers that I hadn't. It was so frustrating to feel like I knew the topic but some of the answers were so obscure. I checked this morning and the NCLEX quick results still says results not available.... but the BON shows I now have an active license with an expiration of June 2023! I just want to say that I feel it is completely normal to leave that test feeling like you probably didn't pass and still be OK. Best of luck to everyone!!
  12. Just stumbled across this thread. We had 13 blended students in our class when we started. Spring 2021.
  13. Congrats to you Stacie Williams! Soon we can all start the updates on getting the big packets... it just said "In the next several weeks...." ohhhhh the agony ?
