  1. My initial statement was towards the author of this post and another person who had a fleeting thought that people should die if they don't take the vaccine. You're going off on another rant that wasn't even about what I stated. It is unfortunate that your patient received something from an outsider and it lead to another patient not getting a machine they needed. Even if you want to hold something against that patient, you are only making yourself bitter, which is not good for you or the patient.
  2. I never agreed that I didn't read that. If you open your eyes, I clearly responded back to the post where the person said she had the fleeting thought that those who are unvaxxed should get sick and die. You read what you want. I just hope you get help for your hatred.
  3. I have seen a lot of professionals not hold their boundaries and that had a negative impact on patients. I myself been a victim of that in our healthcare. If we all were acting professional, people wouldn't say they have fleeting thoughts of certain groups of people getting sick and die. To call people stupid and say you had thought of certain groups dying off is not only unprofessional, but evil.
  4. That's your opinion. It's well proven when people have a strong feeling about something, that it will consumer them. Having strong feelings about people who doesn't meet your standards will definitely affect how you treat them, even in the work place. Of course there are going to be challenges, for all healthcare workers. But why would you want to hold anything against him??
  5. You seriously think that those of you who have this strong hate against unvaccinated people won't eventually affect how you treat them as patients? Think again. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.
  6. Are you not in a position of power when you deal with patients? So you're acting brand new now? Anytime you care for a patient, you're in a position of power. Newsflash, there are laws against Healthcare workers abusing their power when working with patients. Again, your anger is going to get someone hurt. As a healthcare provider it's important that you take care of that so that you don't find yourself doing unethical things.
  7. I read your post, and I read it more than once. "Maybe it would be better for all of us if all those who choose not to get vaccinated just get sick and die." Heartless. Anything else you said doesn't even matter. Why even have such an evil thought. We all knew as nurses that we would encounter patients who "don't stick to the treatment" so why are some of acting brand new?? People been refusing vaccines, this isn't a new phenomenal. Are healthcare workers exhausted, absolutely. All of us are exhausted from this situation. But I have never had a fleeting thought about things being better if certain groups of people die due to them not doing what we feel they need to do. End of the discussion.
  8. It's not unvaxxed killing us and you did say if they are unvaxxed you make sure they are not in a position of power. Maybe because of your anger, you didn't express what you meant, as in your just referring to people who you spend your money with. Because it came off as if you're referring to your patients as well. I know plenty of unvaxxed individuals that didn't go to the hospitals, quarantined at home and they didn't kill anyone. So, to blame a group of people, who by the way didn't create this, is wrong. Maybe it is time for you to do something different because your anger is going to hurt someone.
  9. Sir/Ma'am, My comprehensive is at 100%. You literally stated you are done with people who are unvaccinated and refuse to say their vaccination status. You also stated you want to make sure those who refuse to get vaccinated are never in a position of responsibility. There are also other people who responded and said they should just die. What exactly are you trying to say? I know what I read and I know I how to comprehend. I get paid for a living to decipher what people say. To say they are stupid, to say you are done with them, to say you will make sure they never been in a position of power or have responsibilities means what? If you say you're done with someone, that's pretty much saying you're not going to provide care, and if you do, it's going to be subpar. So don't try to tell me anything about what was or wasn't said.
  10. At first when I read your statement, I just saw the part about making all unvaccinated people sign DNR and I became upset. First, thing came to my mind is that's unethical. Then I read your statement again and realize you are stating how we don't need to be cruel no matter what one's believe is about the vaccines. I agree with 100% about not being cruel or demeaning. Because we know blaming and belittling people has never been the solution. Education and compassion, that's what we should do. I hope you are enjoying your retirement as much as you can. Thank you for all of the years you dedicated to our public.
  11. It's extremely concerning to read the nurses say how unvaccinated people should just die and doesn't deserve care. As a black American, this terrifies me considering how us blacks haven't received fair medical treatment since Healthcare became an institution. As a RN, I would never wish death on anyone or feel they are less deserving of care because they aren't doing what I feel they should be doing. These Healthcare workers that state stuff like this shouldn't even be in the field.
  12. It's very sad to hear about Healthcare workers dying from suicide due to our current state. I'm not at the point of feeling tired so I can only empathize with how you and a lot of my other fellow Healthcare workers are feeling. In my opinion, the article come off as blaming the public, but as you stated, you're tired. However, again, I empathize with you because of what you seen and been through. Only God knows how long we will go through this. I hope we all, vaccinated and unvaccinated, continue to wear our masks, wash our hands, continue to be clean and social distance (the best that we can). Thank you for taking the time to share your story.
  13. Thank you for this info. I was always under the impression I wouldn't qualify for federal student loans because I used it for my first degree. I will definitely look into this.
  14. Thank you for this info. I was always under the impression I wouldn't be able to get federal loans because I used them for my first degree. I will definitely check into this..
  15. Hello All, I'm planning to apply for nursing school next year and this will be my 2nd degree. I have good credit score as of now and make a decent income. However, when I start nursing school my income will decrease probably by 60%. Do you all know of any loans that I will be able to apply for to help with my two years of nursing school? My concern is that my income won't be high enough for most loans. I've already used school loans for my first degree. So I know I will need to apply for private loans. Thank you
