To be honest I don’t know. I’d recommend finding a good AMEDD recruiter & asking them or someone who has actually tried this. Where are you out of? If it’s OK or Texas I have a couple I could recommend.

Talk is talk. My unit has new med-surg nurses coming every month I’ve been there, (& supposedly they’ll reduce their numbers first) so until it’s actually implemented & your packet looks good there’s always a possibility. Good luck to you!

I don't know if it's the same for active as reserve but to commission as a 66S (critical care nurse) having your CCRN was required in addition to the experience when I went before the board.

In regards to bonus i signed my contract June 21 and at that time it was $15k/yr for a 66S AOC. Prior to commissioning & before I found out about selection in Nov 2017, it was $25k/yr. So just want to put it out there that it is always changing.
