I got my schedule around orientation time. I don't know if things changed now since covid but I know they assign you to the sections in alphabetical order from last name for the most part.

Being a nursing major is not one of those majors where you can get into without having the passion for. If you are currently a teacher that could make everything harder because the curriculum is soo challenging it could consume your whole life and come in between you and your passion. If your passion is music then you should pursue what you want; if you are forced you will not be happy or might not even do your best. Theres many components such as clinicals, labwork, and lecture which is mandatory. So if you plan to pursue this be ready to turn your life over. I know many people who pursued nursing just for their family and pass but afterward continue to do what they like and actually end up despising the career. If you feel like you would consider it just mentally prepare yourself. The expenses do add up so save while you can

Hello For nursing school I have about 3 five star flex ring binders; these come with pocket dividers and tabs. I love this binder because you can fold the cover over like a spiral notebook and it is very swift to take papers around in a certain order. I have a storage clip board, many colored pens, and highlighter plus many more. I also stock up on clickable pens. I would do a tote for clinicals and a rolling bad for lectures; this would help with the weight of the books. Compression socks and dansko shoes are highly recommended to reduce the risk of foot problems in the present and future.

Hello ChiChiMel, DO not pay these advisers any mind, they do not know you on a personal level and probably think you are just following a trend. They say this to try to save their rankings and success rate of the passing. Many just go into the field with mind on the money but not having what it takes to successful complete the program. Nursing and medical school are not jokes and you cannot just breeze through. AS long as this is something you have a passion for and will do what it takes to reach that goal you will be fine. Do not allow people to discourage you, their will be many obstacles along the way but im sure with that burning passion you will do just fine.
