Who is at fault for elopement?
I am very sorry to hear that about your grandmother, that's terrible. Form my understanding of it the nurse walks around the building every hour, not into residents rooms like the aides are supposed to but still looking and listening for anything out of the ordinary, and on the security footage the nurse was seen walking through the main lobby 10-15 minutes before the resident went out the main doors. The aides may or may not have been sleeping, From what I've gathered they told the directors that the nurse lets them sleep in various spots which I find highly unlikely and most likely just trying to cover their own butts. I've worked with this nurse for a while and can't see that being the case.. The aides must not have been doing rounds as they should though because the resident was oof until the morning when the manager of the store right down the road called and told the day nurse he was there.

Who is at fault for elopement?
Recently at my facility (ALF) a resident eloped and the overnight nurse was fired for it. We have resident aides that are supposed to do rounds every 4 hours. The front door to the facility is locked to people coming in but not going out. So is it the fault of the nurse since they are the supervisor, the aides because they are supposed to be watching the residents or the facility director for not having the proper precautions put in place?

Moved from NY to FL need to renew my NY license what address?
So my NY license is up for renewal but I have since moved to FL and got an endorsement to practice in FL. Should I use my new FL address to renew my NY license or my parents address in NY?

States that will license a RN with a criminal background
I just went through this with FL( literally, I got my endorsement on 7/2) for a dwai I had 20 years ago Just be honest about the DWI (you were just at the legal limit, thought you stopped drinking early enough in the night, have never gotten a ticket for it before, whatever) and send them all the paperwork. Florida doesn't have the same level of classification for DWI, DUI, DWAI as NY so they want you to disclose this incident (I learned that the hard way). Seeing as the other charges were so long ago they won't matter but you will have to disclose them as well. Here's some information the office people use to clear applications or send them to the board for review https://www.enfermeriaeneu.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/convict-record-guidelines.pdf

Anyone have experience with BoN wanting more background check info
Just to follow up incase anyone else ever has this situation I sent them the court records and stuff they ask for. I also sent the description of the course I had to take along with the community service paperwork and paper saying I completed the course. In the statement I told them what happened with the accident and why stuff was found in my system. I explained my confusion about saying yes or no to the DUI question, that I wasn't aware Florida didn't have a dwai classification. And I am now licensed to practice in NY and FL í ½í¸€

I studied but cannot remember a thing! Help
A lot of those things are very helpful. I used memory association a lot. Find one key point that was interesting to me and the rest would kinda fell into place. Also studying in groups or teaching the material to a friend or family member I've found helpful because you are changing the wording to explain it to someone else.

Getting your Florida License via Endorsement: A Detailed How-To Guide
You checked the wrong box, like I did. Attach a file from the "Check application status" page that says you only want the single state endorsement not the compact state. I'd also submit a copy of your drivers license and the residency declaration page of the application too. And pray they don't want you to do anything else. I submitted my application in March and still don't have my endorsement. I swear Mickey Mouse is running the office there. Everything I asked and reasked how to fill out I am now having to redo because I was told wrong. You should also send the information via email and regular mail, because I called to see what was going on with my application the other day and was told they were waiting on my letter saying I only wanted the single state endorsement which I emailed to them, as I was told to do, and received an email confirming they received it back in April.

Anyone have experience with BoN wanting more background check info
Ah, so maybe nothing to really worry about? When you wrote them did you give a lot of details or just the basic facts? That is one of the things I've been struggling with do I just say I got into an accident, they tested me, it came back, they gave me a DUI ticket , it was reduced to DWAI, I paid fine or give surrounding details

Anyone have experience with BoN wanting more background check info
Oh really? I wasn't aware of all that. Thanks, that actually clarifies some stuff for me.

Anyone have experience with BoN wanting more background check info
Thanks, I can read. Mine was a DWAI. Not a DWI nor DUI. It isn't the same thing and it doesn't fall under the same section of penal code they mention on the background check page. But that doesn't really answer my question.

Anyone have experience with BoN wanting more background check info
I submitted my fingerprints and paperwork for my license endorsement to Florida and it came back with a DWAI I got in 99 (which I didn't think I needed to state on my application). They sent me a letter asking for the court records, police report a statement from me about it etc. I didn't think it would matter since it happened almost 20 years ago and I didn't have any problems getting my license here in NY. I wasn't trying to hide it, I figured it would come up on the check. Has anyone had to submit additional information about their background check? Should I be worried?

DWAI 20 years ago, Florida wants details for endorsement
So I have been trying to get my endorsement so i can move to and get a job in Florida. It has been one gigantic pain in the butt. The latest thing was my background check returned a DWAI I got in 1999. I need to get my arrest report, court papers etc. Anyone have any experience with FL and getting endorsed? I am already licensed in NY and I had no problems with it when I needed to do my background check for school or licensing. The incident also happened in NY, my home state.
