  1. Did you work with Jennifer on the extern program?
  2. To echo what others have said about systemic frustrations you will run into and other areas that may challenge your decision I would strongly recommend ward experience. Interviewing psychiatrist (intake, maintenance, collab), current students, and didact professors can help make your decision less overwhelming. An area to consider is getting your DEA cert for dealing with the addiction side of psychiatry.
  3. Very interesting myoglobin. I definitely will need to do more research but my understanding is on completion of the DNP program as a provider you would have prescribing privileges (on completion of ~1200hrs preceptorship).
  4. Just finished my psych rotation in nursing school. If you're looking for experience rotating through ASH or St. Luke's psychiatric wards would help lend perspectives. I met multiple RNs currently going through ASU's DNP program with PMHNP cert focus.
  5. Do you happen to have any insights as to how similar Las Vegas is to the Phoenix NP market? Looking to start ASU's DNP program and was wondering how hard of a time you had finding preceptorship.
  6. I got in first round of placements with 18pts at GCC/ASU. You should be good.
  7. See attached PDF. CEPRubric.June_.2017.pdf
  8. EMCC and ASU 18pts
  9. I would just be careful on the labs overlapping. I am currently taking Anatomy & Physiology II and Microbio together along with some 300 level classes. Last semester I knocked A&P I, gen chem, and intro to stats in one semester. I cant speak for you I would only recomend feeling the classes out as best you can early on and staying on top of all test and labs as they come down the pipe. Best of luck!
  10. Basically what I was told by the GCC adivsor is have a 4.0 and place in the 90th percentile on your HESI A2 to be competitive. What have other adivsors said is a competitive point range to be in?
  11. That's insane reading this. I feel like I'll be in the same limbo with my scores.
  12. No kidding. I'm applying with a 4.0 and they said a 90 on the HESI wasn't competitive enough.
  13. If you don't mind what were you able to score on the test by chance?
  14. What did you score?
  15. Wow, that sounds like a grounding experience. Thanks for sharing.
