  1. Try flu shot nurse. google that. Also, camp nurse too.
  2. Hello, I have been in your shoes. I got my RN lic in Feb and desperately looked for a job. I had no experience as a new nurse, and all jobs want at least 1 year experience. So... I signed up for the flu clinic/ per diem position oh! and medical utilization review nurse position. Next I applied for camp nurse position that was very low pay. This gave me experience and something to put on my resume. JUNE STARTED CAMP NURSE POSITION... Next,... psychiatric home health nurses seem to be in abundance out here in Georgia and I started working as a psychiatric nurse in AUGUST. ... OH!! and I have been offered a few positions doing the same thing for other agencies! I love psychiatric... I was just recently offered a wound care nursing position per diem... and they are going to train me! NOW keep in mind psych nurse pays 2x more than wound care. THAT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE I WANT THE EXPERIENCE. I AM SO GRATEFUL AND HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN OFFERED THIS POSITION. Keep ur head up!!!... sign up for temp jobs like med records review and flu clinics they will pretty much hire you over the phone and immediately.
  3. can you give me a ruff idea of what to expect with opening up a hhc business. i am very interested. i also live in georgia as well. [email protected] thanks

  8. Okay ... I have some experience with this. I graduated in 2003 and just got my lic in march. The best route for you go is refresher / re-entry and then hopefully get a job where you are doing ur clinicals. I cant afford this route because the class is 3 months long and I dont have 1500-3000 dollars in my pockect. I am trying to get the money but cant right now! I know I will be a great nurse cus thats all I have done all my life is care for family memebers, but I cant find a job because now one hires "NEW NURSES" So good luck did u pass ur boards?

  12. i am looking for a graduate nurse job in the windsor/ hartford/ new haven area and i have checked around at the major hospitals and they are not hiring until july. the other problem i have is... i graduated back in dec 2003. i finally passed my boards after the 4th try. thanks to hurst and kaplan:yeah:. i have been so happy for the past 3 weeks and now i have this problem... no one is hiring new grads, especially in my situation! if anyone knows of any new grad jobs for rn in connecticut, please let me know. i am a pleasant person and hard working. i am eager to learn and very willing to take a pay cut. i am just hungry for learning and experience. (by the way i passed my boards with 75 questions) anyway please help... you can also email me at [email protected] also i will be relocating to connecticut. asap
  13. there arent any jobs for new grads in connecticut either.... If there is please let me know...
  14. i cut and paste this message that i just posted to another persons blog so please forgive me me i just didnt want to write the same thing over again. okay first , i want to say i have been in ur shoes. i have been out of school since dec 2003. i failed 4x's before i actually passed with 75 questions. like you i used hurst and kaplan along with saunders. hurst for content and kaplan for nclex style questions. i thought i was studying in the past but i wasnt. i want to ask u first is did u finish the qbank? and how did u do? how many other nclex style questions did u do a day? this is what i did for 3 months. i did at leaste 100-200 questions a day. every day!... i did so many questions that i idid qbank 1 and 1/2 times. i also uses saunders and sometimes i used exam cram. now what i did different this last time is... is that i did questions every day faithfully, every now and then i take a day off, but i did my questions. people think they are studying when they crack a book open and do 50 questions here and there, but they're not. big mistake... so dont stop studying ... its hard at first but the more you do it the quicker it gets and the more you learn. so that is my advice. have any questions email me at [email protected] hope this helps!!!!! .... you will soon pass this nclex and be a nurse like me...
