Stanford vs UC Salary New Grad
Thank for replying and your insight. I was actually able to find it via a quick CRONA search, which Stanford uses. But by your post, you actually guessed pretty close. Didn't realize bay area salary was so much higher than southern California. Thanks again.

UCLA Summer 2020 New Grad Residency
Unfortunately UCLA updated their website. They are officially not having a Summer 2020 cohort, and that they don't have additional information for the Winter cycle. Although, I have heard from internal employees that they will be opening for the Winter cycle. Is anyone planning to work before applying for UCLA's Winter cycle? Or would that look bad...leaving another hospital after a couple of months just to do a new gad position?

Stanford vs UC Salary New Grad
I know UCLA's new grad starting salary is 47$/hour, was wondering If anyone knew of UCSF's, other UC's, and/or Stanford's. Thanks in advance for any advice

CSUCI FALL 2017

CSUCI or CSULB BSN Program?
@Bobmo88 - This is probably a long shot since this is an old post, but I was wondering...how did you get the clinical technician job? Were you able to choose which department you wanted to work in? Feel free to email me at [email protected] (I'm not sure if we can PM each other in this thread..not too familiar with this website haha)

CSUCI FALL 2017
Hmm thats so strange because the points that appear on my application is what I calculated initially even with my TEAS score unchecked. But then again, maybe I'm the one calculating wrong. I mean honestly, we all probably have different cases. So it's hard to gage the differences in calculations. I wouldn't sweat it. Good luck everyone!

ADN-BSN step up program at GWC to CSULB
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Moorpark have a ADN program? I think that one is less selective than Ventura College because you don't really need a CNA license. And it's just a year. Then you can apply for CSUCI ADN-BSN program in Goleta or do the fast track. I spoke to one of the CSUCI advisor's and she told me to not feel discouraged if we don't get in the first time, and that plan be would do the ADN route. Because their ADN -> BSN program are less competitive. Geri-Lyn said that usually if you fulfill all of the necessary supplement materials (you don't need military or language) and you live in santa barbara county then you guaranteed admission. I would contact their program for confirmation and clarification though. Good luck!

CSUCI FALL 2017
Has anyone receive confirmation of supplement material being received as well as TEAS scores? I mailed my application last week, but it would be nice to be reassured that my application made it safely lol.

CSUCI FALL 2017
Looks like you're gonna get in I'm almost going to submit my application, just waiting for my CC transcripts to arrive and mail everything. Quick question: did you submit your online application before you submitted your documents? or should I submit all of the documents then submit my online application?

CSUCI Nursing 2017
I'm not sure how they choose to filter the applicants but one of the ladies at the nursing info session said that as long as you have above 30 you are "competitive applicant." ^__^ it makes me a little worried though 'cause I've found past powerpoints and the acceptance ranges were so different. Someone already started a forum for CSUCI fall 2017, so I don't know if you want to transfer to that thread lol. Im in a similar situation as you too! Good luck to both of us!

CSUCI FALL 2017
Ah me too! I just took my teas a couple days ago: Science GPA = 3.8 (10 pt) Overall GPA = 3.60 (8 pt) TEAS = (10 pt) ** darn reading -___- BS degree from CSUCI = (4Pt) Volunteer Experience = +200 (3 pt) High School Program = not sure if they'll be accepting it b/c it's been a long time (2 pts) Total = 35-37 points **I don't know if this is true, but I heard they try to have a diverse cohort like people having done military work, having a previous degree, some from CC, some from CSUCI, CNAs, etc. (?) I spoke to a parent in my class at a CC and she said her daughter was pre-nursing, and she had a 4.0 and everything but she was rejected from CSUCI and is now at a UC merely studying biology. I mean I don't know the rest of her application, but it shocks me to hear they were rejected. From others, I heard that they've had someone who had a 29 in the fall 2015 cycle get in to the program. I'm wondering how do they filter the applicants and do they actually look at all ~400 applicants?
