I was in the last 5 months of my TPAPN program and drank Kombucha( not knowing that this “all natural” health food drink actually contains .5 % alcohol. Subsequently I tested positive for alcohol!! I have since been discharged from TPAPN and am pending BON review for temporary licensure suspension... Anyone else experienced this?

I have not, I'm sorry this is happening. Have you talked to an attorney? Wishing you the best of luck!!

What in the world?? Why don't they just extend your order? Five months away -- I'm so sorry that happened to you!
I'm so paranoid that I only eat and drink what I personally prepare. I make my own Iced tea, coffee and all my own food. I do not trust anything or anyone while going through this.
Hugs coming to you ?!
It is hard not to be paranoid. I screwed up, I thought I was suppose to attend the nurse support group after I finished with aftercare, and I was suppose to start going once I started aftercare. Hoping the board doesn't hang me by my toes!
It’s absolutely crazy!! I wouldn’t have been even drinking health food drinks had I not had COVID!! This whole experience has now caused PTSD!! Just living with the fear of forgetting a daily check-in to the rude and humiliating treatment of Quest Lab personnel! Not to mention being broke!I’m sorry for all 3 of us and hoping the best for you both. It’s great to vent to other nurses going thru this same experience!
I hope things work out for you, keep us posted. I'll say a prayer for you.
Thanks so much and have a blessed day!

Get a lawyer ASAP!! I was in a similar situation, almost finished monitoring & I actually had a false positive. They threatened to take my license because I wouldn’t admit to wrongdoing. My case was pushed to the board. Anyway, really long story- but had I not had a lawyer fighting on my behalf, I’d be in DMU right now. Get a lawyer!
I am consulting one today. I agree! Enough is enough!

Just took a blood test for recovery trek it was option 10. The cost was only 60 dollars. The lady in billing slipped up and said it was a peth test but she’s only in billing so maybe she may not have known better. I heard peth was 2-3 times more and option 12 is used. Really could use some help if anyone has insight. Thank you.

I just gave a PETH test. I started monitoring when I got my license at 1 year sober and haven’t had any issues with positive tests. I’m 2 years sober and Just got a call on Friday that I had positive ETG, and I’m pretty sure that it was a combo of eating 2 lean cuisines with trace alcohol and using alcohol sanitizer on cut hands 36 times in a shift. I’m panicking because I lead nurses meetings, and am sober, but feel like it’s being questioned.
