praise god from whom all blessings flow
yesterday i found out that i passed the nclex, the computer shut down at 75 questions. pay close attention, these were my kaplan scores in the questions trainer:
q1 47%
q2 48%
q3 52%
q4 57%
q5 60%
q6 54%
q7 47%
now if these were not discouraging scores, then i don't know what. but i recruited the prayers of all who i came in contact with, and pleaded for them to pray in my behalf. by the way i had tons of sata of which i scored 7% on the kaplan q bank test. i know is easier said than done, but i give you this testimony to reassure you that god's plan will prevail regardless of the obstacles or mountains or discouragement you might face.
praise him for he is worthy to be praised

Thanks for the encouragement - I take my boards on Monday, and I feel like I can't study anymore...I just want this to be over with (and pass of course)!

First off, congratulations on passing!! God is good!! I take NCLEX tomorrow, and I'm starting to have that "Oh my gosh, what if I don't pass?????" feeling. Everyone in my class has passed so far! I tend to have test anxiety, so that doesn't help. Please send prayers my way....I AM SCARED!!!!!!

Awesome!! Congrats to you!!
My friend just passed and had low scores on the Kaplan tests as well. She said the NCLEX was much more basic. I hope so because I test on Saturday and I am freaking!! LOL

You will do fine, I thought I failed because my questions seemed easy, or maybe God made it seem easy. anyway I'll pray for u you will do great.
I sure will and I will ask others to do so as well. you will do fine.

I won't say I found NCLEX easy because I certainly did not....several meds I had barely heard of, never mind did I know the MOST important teachings of....and while it was pretty easy to get down to those "two best answers" on many questions, I had a difficult time discerning the BEST final choice (that's been my challenge all through school, lol).
But my Kaplan scores were slightly above yours consistently (only slightly) and that didn't do much for my ego going in to this thing. I, too, only got 75 questions, so I'm hoping that bodes well. Three more hours before I get results.
For those still to go -- do the practice w/Kaplan if you've got it and Saunders which we should all have. Have a good meal before you go in. Dress comfortably and take the earplugs they offer. Go in, take a deep breath, and then stop and take some more during the test if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed or panicking.
And good luck -- you've studied and worked hard to get to this point. Go in with that confidence and do the best you can!!
Best wishes all!! And congrats limaya!!
I've already posted this on another thread, but wow, my mind is BLOWN!!! 75 questions, and seriously, I feel like the majority were completely foreign to me. Tons of meds, teaching of meds, prioritization...I honestly felt like I was guessing at least 80% of the time. I'm still praying with all of me heart. Good luck to all of you!

i too felt discouraged with my kaplan scores but as i was taking nclex i felt as though i was taking another qbank and often found myself just guessing at something b/c i was just in such a mental state. then it would hit me...every question counts! stop doing that!!!!! when my test shut off and the ear plugs came off, and the internal screaming calmed down, and the blood rushed back to my head i realized, i was not taking a kaplan test, that was the real thing, and you probably just failed it b/c you were in dream land thinking it was practice! i laugh now b/c at the time i wanted to scream, just give me one more question...i wasn't done!!!!!! but, i passed (sure, after spending 48 agonizing hours and driving everyone i know crazy)...i was already thinking of alternate career paths. i mean after all, can't every office use an unlicensed nurse? congratulations to you. om
