I'm not sure what kind of book you're looking for? A textbook?

??? Not sure what you are asking. If this is a need for a certain program you are in, ask them for examples or suggestions.

Any books or sites I can use that include long term care scenarios or case studies and WITH ANSWERS because I will be tested on long term care scenarios so I have to find any resources that include that. Eg. the test question might include: What are the main assessments and interventions for a patient with chest pain? What are the main assessments and interventions for a patient with shortness of breath? What are the main assessments and interventions for a patient who fell or aspirated, vomited, suddenly become agitated, confused? What are the main assessments and interventions for a patient suddenly has severe leg pain? Etc. I hope these make it clearer. The examiner said there will be 100 scenarios and I have to get 80% in order to go back to my long term care clinical because I wasn't successful in it so I really wanna pass that exam in order to return soon. The scenarios include immediate nursing responses to a certain patient situation. He said I have to focus on situations that can possibly occur in a long term care. Please, please, please help me where to find a material like that. I really love to go back :(

Where are you looking?

Are you googling?

Have you asked your instructor for ideas on where to look?

Patrick, you really need to stop posting your homework questions here and thinking that folks will just give you the answers. You need to at least attempt to do your own work, then come here (or to a tutor) if you are still struggling.

It's not a homework and ok, I'll stop. I'll come up with my own and ask for any feedback about it but I need some resources. I googled them but I still need a book or any materials like the ones described above. My examiner said that I just need to google scenarios. I know that I can google them but I need ones with answers :(

You should have a med surg text book that can help getting those answers. As well as maybe a geriatrics care textbook.

Check out Mosby's. I used Mosby's Comprehensive Nursing Review for my boards (Canadian and US). It was scenarios and multiple choice questions, arranged by speciality, with answers in the back. I'm not sure if it would help you with long term care questions, but might be worth checking out. Good luck!

study the above suggestions but also take into consideration the changes in the elderly.

We are happy to help but we will not just give you answers. Our goal is to help you become the best nurse you can be. Are you in the US?

Do you have a care plan book?

Have you googled your scenario?

What are the main assessments and interventions for a patient who fell or aspirated, vomited, suddenly become agitated, confused? If your patient fell and struck their head and is now confused and vomiting....what should you assess for and what is your concern? Lets see they fell and hit their head...I think head injury. I would do a neurological assessment. Now if the vomit went into their lung...what would I worry about....getting enough oxygen.

Now I did a google search for you on these two....I think you can figure it out from there and I would check with your instructor for references.

Shortness of breath

Chest pain
