I just took my Nclex RN in CA yesterday. I checked all day yesterday (repeatedly, every hour) on Pearson Vue to see if I got the good pop up. And yes, I did! Then I checked it today, and it's going straight to the cc page. Has this ever happened to anyone?
And yes-- i waited until it said "delivery successful."
I have prepared myself for the worst, but I just hate how the PVT played me like that!

What did the first pop up say?
Something like Records indicates you have recently registered for this test... appointment can not be scheduled at this time.
I remember how it looks, bc I got the good popup back in the day when i did the LVN nclex. But i have never heard of it ever changing on someone.

That pop up looks like the pop up that you get when you try to register when you have not taken the test yet.
The exact pop up I got was "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time".
BTW I'm in Ca.
isn't that the same pop up? i don't remember the exact wording, but i know it was the good pop up, and i got it repeatedly the whole day.

This is the good popup, or more correctly, one of them. The key phrase is that "another registration cannot be made at this time." In short, you can't pay for another registration and your results aren't on hold.
i get that...just wondering if anyone's pop up ever changed on them, like it did with me?
If you look at the details of how the NCLEX is scored, you'll find that it's actually scored twice. The second scoring is one way that they can ensure that the exam is truly good... unfortunately it means that a very few times, you pass the first time and then fail at the second scoring because they're probably scoring using slightly different criteria to ensure accuracy and integrity. The reverse can also be true where you fail at first and then pass. The PVT appears to simply be the billing system looking at the current results and "deciding" whether to prevent you from re-registering or sending you to the CC page to re-register.
Since you've gotten both results, the only thing you can do is just wait, and check the BreEZe system to see if you are issued an RN license. If you've paid for the IP and they cancel it and you don't see RN numbers within a few minutes of the cancellation, then that's pretty conclusive you've failed. And no, they won't send you an email regarding the status of your application.
It has happened. Chances are the "change" occurs after the exam has been scored the 2nd time. Usually the two scorings basically match "pass/pass" or "fail/fail" but they probably use two different scoring methodologies, so it's possible to get one result at the first pass (at the local site) and another at the second pass (remote/central office site).
Got it, thanks! So I guess the point is not to get too excited when you do the PVT because it can change on you. Booooo!

Unfortunately, yes. Which is why it's called a 'trick' and not 'official results'. MOST of the time, you play the game, and it's correct; sometimes.....it's not.
Hang in there, see what the OFFICIAL results are.

My daughter took the nclex yesterday in NYC. She got the good pop up first but kept logging in and 5 minutes later was able to go to the c c page and actually reregistered. I hope it was a fluke and she actually passed
