Pearson Scheduling/ATT

Published

Hello all!

I just recently graduated (5/17) and had already done all my registering with the BON and Pearson prior to that. I am currently just waiting for the BON to approve my transcripts from my school and authorize me for pearson. My question for all of you is once you received your ATT what was the availability like on Pearson? I was really hoping to take my test soon, but my school took longer than expected with transcripts. Is it realistic to get a testing appt the same week? I will be taking my test in Minnesota, but any answers from other states would be welcomed as well!!

Thanks! and good luck to anyone else waiting to take the NCLEX!

It is definitely possible to get a testing date very soon after getting your ATT. Quite a few people cancel/reschedule their test dates and those appointments become available immediately. Keep checking often and you will more than likely get a test date sooner rather than later.

I got my ATT on a Monday and tested Thursday at 8AM. My classmate got her ATT about an hour after me and got a slot in the same center Wednesday night at 6pm.

I'm waiting on my ATT as well, but from what I understand, in CA it can take awhile to get a date. I'm planning to travel anywhere in the state that I need to in order to get an early test date. A classmate whose check cashed 2 weeks before mine just got her ATT a couple of days ago, so I'm guessing 2 weeks for me to wait. Sigh. Meanwhile, some are getting processed super quickly.

I'd heard horror stories about it taking months and months to get a test date, so I was shocked when I received my Letter from the board saying I can register for my test just a few weeks after graduating.

Then I was even more surprised that Pearson vue had tests available the same week!

I scheduled my test 3 wks out. This was in December of last yr.

HTH!

When I got my att, the soonest available test date was 2.5 weeks out. I took it and then checked back every few days to see if there were cancellations. There were. I rescheduled. :-)

I'm in GA..I submitted all of my required documents (with the exception of the transcripts) & paid the state licensing fees, and the Pearson Vue testing fee about 7 days prior to graduating. My school sent up our transcripts electronically 1 week after graduation & I received my ATT the very next day from Pearson Vue. The 1st avail date was the next business day after I got the ATT, but I was headed out of town, so I scheduled mine 3 weeks out--which happens to be next Friday. :) The process was fairly quick! Hope this helps!!!

whew all of your answers give me some hope of taking it soon! Now if the BON would just approve my transcripts! did not think that process would take days

So I got my ATT today and the closest date was June 16, which is not what I hoped for. What are the chances that someone will cancel and an apppintment will open up? Has this worked for anyone? How often did you check?

I did it. :-) I was originally scheduled for 6/4 but rescheduled for tomorrow (5/31).

I wondered if they hold back some appointments and open them up as the dates get closer. Either that or a bunch of people rescheduled!

Basically I just took the soonest appointment available and kept checking back. The first time I checked back, next available was 6/17. Two days later there were multiple appointments 5/31 - 6/2.
