Peanut butter

Never thought I'd have so many discussions/arguements about peanuts and peanut butter as I have this year....

Was just informed that our school psychologist is baking peanut butter cookies in our school cafeteria. We are a peanut free school. :nailbiting:

And my day was going so well. :banghead:

Me too. Common sense, really?

But, seriously. My school is peanut free as well. One year, I had a student eat a peanut butter protein bar next to a student with a severe allergy. Student developed itchy throat, GI distress, and Epi-pen it was. I sent a nicely worded email to staff and a reminder home to parents after.

We are not peanut free. We are latex free.

I'm interested in the latex-free aspect of the school. I have a latex allergy and envelopes are my arch nemesis. I licked one once and off the the ER it was. The adhesive part has latex in it. Do you guys use the peel-and-stick ones? This is my "fun fact" when I share about allergies.

OMG, I am sorry but I just LOL, because that is something that would TOTALLY happen at my school!!!

Hang in there, I only have 10 days left!

Typical. Reaffirms that most of the time I apparently talk only to myself or am speaking a language no one understands. At this point in the year you either laugh or cry. Reset for next year.
