Pasadena Fall 2014

Hello! Well I was chosen as an alternate but I will actually be declining my position. I just don't really want to go to Citrus and I'm hoping to get into PCC or Cal State Bakersfield. It's a risk, and it might be dumb but that's my decision. So hey, it just opens up another spot I guess. And that is wierd about the envelope. They may have misplaced yours or something like that, and had to send it to you that way. I'm sure your in the same round of alternates because my TEAS test was scheduled for tomorrow actually. NOOOO...thats not a dumb decision. Only we know what works out best for us. Good luck I hope you get into one of them! I'm also an alternate at PCC! I would prefer to go to PCC because its closer to me. Lets just keep crossing our fingers we hear back from PCC soon!

Nope, I'm still waiting. I called them yesterday, but the lady wasn't any help.

What did she say? I just want to know if they have started letting alternates know. Obviously from this thread 3-5 people have turned down their spot so I just want to know if any alternates have been notified.

She just said to be patient and whenever a spot opens up then they'll go to the list of alternates and offer the position. She couldn't tell me what number or anything like that. She just insisted to be patient.

When were you notified as an alternate? I was emailed on 5/16, so I don't know if I'm one of the first ones or not.

I was emailed on 5/16 at 9:30am so probably same as you! I hope we are first up on the list! And so annoying to not give us a deadline. Did you notice that in previous semesters (based on the info on prior threads) that they gave deadlines for the alternates to be notified. This year they didn't so not sure what that is about...

Yes, I did notice that. I'm not sure what the deal is, so just keep your head up and keep us posted. I'll do the same.

Thank you, yes you are right. As much as I want to be a nurse I already went to Citrus for my AA and AS so I just need a change :) But, yes I hope we get into PCC as well!! Fingers Crossed! And good luck on Friday with the TEAS!

Has anyone called the office? I call and call, but no answer. Lol, they probably know its me calling. I just want to know if I'm in or out. I can't take this anymore.

I called again and they finally answered. The guy who answered said that they started calling the alternates, but so far one alternate was called and offered the position. He said to expect an email or a phone call within the next two weeks. He also said that we can be called 3 weeks before the fall semester starts, so he said to keep checking the emails. He also apologized for taking so long.

Well, that's a quick update, I don't know of anyone else have any input.
