My email just said I was an alternate - No number given.

i didnt recieve anything yet. Hopefull i get an email

I am alittle confused though regarding the alternate letters. If the deadline was yesterday and they have one round of alternates already does that mean alot of people who were accepted declined their spot?

I just received an email today at noon saying I am chosen as an alternate.

Most likely yes..I'm assuming a good amount of those accepted and offered a spot initially declined by yesterday's deadline (myself included)...which would've then bumped up the first line of alternates to be offered admission (which I'm sure they were sent emails offering the open spot and also given a separate deadline to accept or decline the spot) ...in addition those that were still waiting to hear anything back from the school were also probably sent out emails notifying them as the new round of alternates (in the event any first round alternates also decline the open spot)...and so on and so forth...

And that will continue until they fill the spots in the program. :)

Thanks for the explanation! It makes perfect sense and good to know. So basically we are alternates for the alternates...I can live with that for now. Hoping to hear from two more schools so at least there's still a chance for direct entry elsewhere. But PCC is in my top two preferred nursing programs. So Yay!

For those of you who are alternates and haven't taken the TEAS test. I would like to get together and form a study group for the test. I'm scheduled to take it in about 3 weeks. Heyy I don't remember if you got accepted to Citrus or an alternate. But I just received today in the mail that I'm an alternate for Citrus. The only thing I'm wondering is that I didn't get it in my self-addressed envelope. What do you think about that? Do you think I would be the other round of alternates. I just find it weird that I didn't get my letter in my self-addressed envelope. I have to take the TEAS this Friday. When do you take it??? Thank you!
