Ever accidently hit your stethoscope on a hard surface while it's still plugged into your ears?

Yep, I've done that. It'll wake you up for sure. Since I transferred to NICU I have a new one. A full term kid who decides all of a sudden to scream when you are listening to heart and lungs. Those thin chest walls transmit sound extremely well.

How about a husband that decides to target shoot outside your bedroom window in the middle of the day when you're trying to sleep in between 12 hour nights! Wow, what a run on sentence!

Or my hubby who denies he's getting HOH, buying wireless speakers to sit on either side of his recliner.....AND then turns up the TV and the speaker volumes. Yeeeeeow

Thats nothing! I've an odd habit of twirlling(sp?) my stethescope while walking down the hall (absentmindedly...like alot of other things i do)....and on more than one occaision: BAM!! smack dab in the nuts. OUCH! I looked pretty silly all doubled over and red-faced.

Needless to say, i dont twirl my stethescope as much these days.... ;)

Stupid me..put my stethescope in my ears and tap it to make sure the head is turned the right way:chuckle  then drop it and it hits a hard surface because you automaticaly grab for your ears. NOW THAT'S AND OWWIEEEEEEEEEEE:eek: :roll

I hate when that happens!
