Could anyone suggest an online school where I could take Microbiology. I was supposed to take it this semester at a community college, however, life circumstances prevented me from doing so. This is the only prereq I have left and am hoping to start an accelerated program this summer.
Any suggestions are welcome. :)

I am not certain that you can take Micro online due to the lab requirements. Have you spoken to your Community College Advisor? That might be the best place to begin. Good luck.

Micro is popping up more and more as an online class. Check out ccconline and Rio Salado college. I'm sure other poster's will add some good info here. I have not taken online micro yet, but I hear it is just as challenging to take it online as it is to go to an actual classroom.
Good Luck

Colorado Community Colleges http://www.ccconline.org has micro GIO204 4 CR and
Lake Superior College http://www.lsc.mnscu.edu BIOL1170.55 3 CR
Thanks for the info. I'll start with the community college advisor and check out those other sites. :)

Nothing new to add other than my experiances with CCConline have been great and will be doing their online Micro in the fall. On your transcript it doesn't come up as a distance class and it does include lab. Good luck
All of the classes I have taken either on campus or online are displayed exactly the same on my transcripts. In fact I took two courses through a local community college (one on campus the other online) and both are the same on the transcript. So far I don't know of any school or any reason to distinquish how the credits were achieved.

I have taken many classes at our local cc, which is almost entirely online. Our nursing program at the state university has no problem taking them. In fact, I was at one point debating med vs nursing school and all of the med schools I was interested in accepted online courses.
Here is the web page. The cc is Rio Salado Community College in AZ

i know the spring micro classes are already full. i'm waiting to hear back on dates for summer session.
also be careful of that class at lake superior - it is only 3 units and my nursing schools require a 4 unit micro class.
