OLOL applicants

Ok, I wait every day to see if something from OLOL will come in the mail. I really am getting impatient. Anyone hear any news?

I'm impatiently waiting too...but Micro is keeping my mind off things. I would expect to perhaps get an invite Mid April at the latest? What do you think? I'm more worried about finding a place to live.

Micro is tough. I'm taking A&P 2 right now. Hard.

Mid April would be great. My whole life right now revolves around whether or not I get in.

Did you apply to any other schools?

FYI to those waiting for thier letters, they told us the same thing "April/May". Well MANY of us including myself didn't get the letter in the mail until JUNE.

Best of luck to those who applied.

Hello same here, my family and I are from La. and my oldest daughter does not like it here in Atlanta. So were going back and were waiting also. :uhoh21:

June???

yep....I didn't get my interview letter until June last year...sorry to all those who are waiting. It was insane how nervous I was!!!

If you did not interview until June, when did you find out if you were accepted? They really are not leaving much time for any decisions or preparations before starting school.

I found out I was accepted on July 8th last year. And just a forewarning...be prepared to be EXTREMELY flexible and have no life for the duration of the program. I can hardly wait 1 month 23 days until graduation *yay*

Congratulations on making it through Sunshine0425 - wondering how many dropped out. The orginal program I was going into at Nicholls choose only 10 people a year (we don't need nurses, why does the world need nurses!) and 6 would graduate. In my book they should have taken 15 and would have graduated at least nine. When you finish let us know Sunshine and we will have a party in here for you.

I'm still gonna keep hope alive and wait for the end of april/early may deadline that they keep giving me when I call. The last time i called she said the applications were awaiting committe review and that they would meet at the end of this month to start reviewing apps. The Fall 2006 class was the first full uninterrupted school year since Hurricane Katrina which is probably why those students got their letters in June/July. I'm with ya'll though....the wait is insane and i too will have to pick up and relocate at the drop of a dime so my nerves are really bad trying to wait it out!!!!

Is there anyone out there who has applied to other nursing schools and is having to pay a lot of preliminary fees for other nursing schools as backup plans in case OLOL doesnt come through?

I just couldn't take it anymore. I call the admissions office at OLOL, and the worker stated that they would be sending letters out by end of the week and we should hearing something soon!!!!!!!
