i very much appreciate your enthusiasm.
i too, felt that excited when starting nursing school.
hold onto your vision of what nursing means to you.
it will bring you through some of the challenges that lie ahead.
best of everything!

I LOVE your enthusiasim!!!! Here's something to do BEFORE you begin.... Write down all the reasons that you want to be a nurse and what nursing means to you. Place this paper in a special and safe place to keep. Years or perhaps months from now when you are feeling like it's just not worth it, burnt out, or wondering why in the world you chose this profession- pull it out and read it. It will help you maintain your optimism and focus. Hope that this helps and best wishes to you as you pursue your dream. Nursing is truly one of the hardest, yet most rewarding jobs ever.

i am also obsessed with this site. i search the forums during lunchtime and the minute i get home. i do like reading about nursing and honing in on skills. funny, i am losing a bit of the the enthusiasim now that i am one, but that is because of the politics and some sucky co-workers. keep up the faith. and, there are times that nursing school will drive you to the nearest therapist (smile).

Oh, and you can find some good therapy on this site. And it's for free!
Yeah...good therapy from home 24 hours a day can be a real plus...

That's super! Welcome and best wishes in school. When do you start?
tazzirn the course i'm doing is through our local hospital i'm not registered at the college yet.hope that clears it up.and thanks to all for replying and for the good advice and encouragement.i have an interview tomorrow so if i get in i'll be starting in sept.
is the hospital course part of a nursing school program at all? you list yourself as a nursing student, not pre-nursing.
