Nursing School Jitters

My first day of class is August 23rd and I'm terrified. Am I the only one?

Awww, don't be scared!!! You are not the only one, my first day was 8/24 last year, I was terrified too. I had zero medical experience and was unsure of everything. I buckled down, worked hard on my paperwork and studied...You have to work twice as hard for a nursing school A than any other class so don't worry if your GPA slips a little at first till you get the hang of things. Also, do not listen to the gossip and drama that other students will create all around you. Keep your head down, work hard and you will be fine. I promise :)

i start Sept 7th and am so excited but nervous at the same time!:)

I'll be starting nursing 3 on the 23rd and yes I'm nervous to start up again. Say hello to no life! LOL....good luck to you!

I start on August 16th, and I'm nervous and excited. I'm more nervous since last week when I met someone in my CPR class who is a former nursing student at the school I'll be attending. She asked to talk with me after class and told me all kinds of stuff about school that pretty much rattled me. I keep telling myself that she's probably just a tad bit intense, but I can't help but wonder "what if she's right?"

Good luck to us all!

I feel like that about a lot of things on this site sometimes. I just tell myself that there are always two views to everything, stay positive and follow your dreams. Good luck!

I am also starting Aug 16 and am a bundle of nerves too. I'm trying to relax this last week and a half. I know I have everything done and set, but I keep thinking I must be forgetting something.... LOL

I start school on August 30th and am getting anxious. Nervous yes, but more anxious. What is it REALLY going to be like? I can read every thread here about nursing school, but you never know until you experience it yourself.

That being said, I am EXCITED too!

Im starting the 23rd too and I am A MESSSS! So excited yet SO scared... Best of luck!

I start Aug 23rd. I will say so far I'm not nervous though I am anxious! No need for us to be nervous, we worked hard ,did our pre reqs and we are all ready! Get ready we are nursing students!!:yeah:

I'm glad I'm not the only one. My three goals are to stay Hungry, Humble, and Holy. One of my friends just finished the program, and she provided tons of advise. The main thing is to surround yourself with people that want it as bad as you, and are willing to buckle down and study HARD!!! Good luck future :nurse:'s

I start Sept 13th and I'm super nervous but at the same time I can't wait!

She's right but you can do it. "Nursing school is hard but you can do hard things!"
