Hi,
I'm currently pursing my B.A in liberal arts and have earned close to 90 credits.
I am looking to transfer into a nursing program for my BSN in NJ.
Any suggestions for schools that accept transfer students to major in nursing? ( pref schools that are affiliated with a hospital)
Many thanks!

Nursing schools are different than other bachelor degree programs. There is no way to simply transfer into a BSN. You'll have to first take all the science pre-requisites that a particular nursing program requires. Then you have to apply to and be accepted into a BSN program itself.
You need to use Google to find nursing schools in NJ. Then you need to get on those schools' websites, where they will have a list of the pre-requisites they require. No two schools require the exact same pre-reqs, so if you want to apply to a bunch of schools, you'll need to make sure you complete all the pre-reqs every school requires. You're likely looking at 2 to 4 semesters of pre-reqs if you want to apply to 3 - 5 schools. These will be mid level science courses, such as Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Statistics, Microbiology, etc.
Nursing school requires a ton of initiative. Now would be a great time to start determining how you will go about taking charge of your future. Google is your friend. Email or call the nursing programs of different schools to find the exact info you require.

I think you should show your enthusiasm for your potential new career by doing your own research. It's very easy with Google.
Let me google that for you

Here is the kicker with transferring to any nursing program: they will only let you transfer in in the off-chance they have space that has not been taken by a previous student who took a LoA or is doing a repeat. It is very difficult.
You are essentially going to have to apply to both the university AND the nursing program directly. There is no direct admission. My best suggestion would be to start calling schools you are interested and talking directly to the nursing department. They will be able to give you better information about whether they even take transfers, and what they look for.

The only NJ nursing schools, like most other states, that are "affiliated" with hospitals are hospital based diploma programs, not BSN programs. All BoN approved nursing programs are listed on the BoN website. If you plan to complete your BA you will be looking at ABSN programs. There are a few. All are post baccalaureate/graduate rates. Thomas Edison State College has an ABSN program can be done in a year but the cost is estimated at $37,000
I know in VA Bon Secours is now a BSN program affiliated with Bon Secours health system.
