Can anyone help---I used to get a newspaper from the wisconsin nurse registry. It had legal articles and listed "crimes" (for lack of a beter word) and suspensions etc. of fellow nurses. Does anyone remember what the paper is called??? Or where I can order it again? I haven't seen it for about a year and a half.
thanks:o

Wow really ? a "newspaper" dedicated to listing nurses under disciplinary action? Wow. Hard to believe it. Anyhow, if such a thing exists, your state board of nursing would probably be the logical place to go to ask about it.

My state BON publishes a monthly newsletter which is automatically mailed to all nurses licensed in the state. In addtion to various articles about legal and practice issues related to nursing practice in the state, it does include lists of disciplinary actions taken by the board (nurses reprimanded, licenses voluntarily surrendered or revoked, licenses reinstated, etc.)
Disciplinary actions by the BON are public record.
I'm sure the WI BON could help you find out how to get the newsletter again, and there is a link on the Allnurses homepage to all the state BONs.

I know that at least some of the state BONs list disciplinary actions on their websites as well.

We get the newsletter here in NM. The first place I go is the disciplinary action section. See if I know anyone who is in deep Kimchee.
