Hey lilee,

When i applied i had done community service at the hospital where i worked. But nothing else, i know other friends who have gotten in and they didnt place anything on their app about that because they didnt have it. So just hang in there and if anything you should hear something on the 30th like everyone else has been saying. If you have any other questions that need to be answered just let me know and i will try my best to help you. If your GPA is good and your science GPA as well then i think you have a great chance.

To all those patiently and angrily waiting, i feel for you i really do, i was there not even a week ago and i could sense the tension.. I would become an official stalker at this point or i would just go in there and sit down until someone talks to me... be tough and persistent... your dreams will come true... xoxo

I got accepted into Nova guys!!!! (fort Myers campus)but im still exciteddd :)

p.s did anyone else get into the fort myers campus...i have no idea about the area.

Hi everyone. Although I am new to the site as a member, I have been reading all the insights and replies that have been posted. I too am still waiting for a response from Nova. I applied in late April and call three times a week. I am so happy for all the ones who have been accepted so far and pray that I will be joining the crew very soon. I'm worried only because my GPA is the bare minimal a 3.04 but I completed an AA degree as well. Admissions reassured me that they take into consideration whether or not you have completed a degree but I still feel worried. Any words of encouragement?

Tammy87, hang in there with the rest of the bunch...... i was once in there so i know how you must feel like right now.. go cry, scream, hit someone lol... but it will come... i still think they will advise ppl by next week Wednesday i think is the latest because you also need to apply for the scholars program as well trying to get any other financial assistance because tuition is due before we start our classes on orientation day. So they need to get in gear and move it along. Your gpa is not too bad... you have AA so you have more than enough credits... make sure that your science gpa is on point, because i know they look at that as well. You are getting closer to the deadline..remember that not everyone that applies to Nova wants to go there others could chose another nursing school you know.. so you can be in the clear or on the waiting list... you never know with them NOVA is all over the place and i will always say it. But your career is in the making .....keep you head up and smile!

LAtisha CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Welcome aboard!!!!!! wooohoooooo

Thanks for replying Jerzianna, I truly appreciate your feedback. Hopefully I make it for fall as well. Thanks

Congrats to you!!! when did you find out?! just asking becuase I'm still pending..... :uhoh3:

Thanks guys!! n giggles I recieved my email Saturday morning

I just got really useful information...I called NOVA and they told me that the committee only meets once a week and they only review 15 applications per week!!!!!!! Is that crazy or what? And he also said that they have 160 seats and 1,000 applications. But that we should know by the end of June. How the hell is that going to happen if they only review 15 a week???

ralphigesbabe,

although none of what you said was funny. I could not help but lol. I was not laughing at you. I just don't understand how Nova could be so unorganized. Anyway, good luck.

Has anyone been accepted to the Baptist scholarship.

Hello and CONGRATS to everyone who has gotten in! I wish you all the best! I am finishing up my classes in the summer and will be applying for the Spring of 2011. I was wondering for the ones who got in, can you guys tell me what your gpa's were? Also, if there is an interview or personal essay to submit? Thanks... CONGRATS AGAIN :nurse:

All I know is that its June 28th...and I applied approximately four months ago towards the end of February..and I have heard absolutely NOTHING from these people...the end of June is right around the corner..all i know is that once July first gets here if I still haven't heard anything I'm turning into the annoying over achieving student who calls every single day up to two or three times a day..lol..I paid money to receive an answer..whether its a good one or not..I want my moneys worth lol..to Jennifer023 welcome to the site...I'm not sure if you've read through our thread or not but a lot of the people who have gotten accepted have gpa's that range from 3.2's to 3.8's...with NOva you never really know exactly what gpa will get you in...your overall gpa may be a 3.3...but your pre requisite gpa may be a 3.6 and that will definitely boost your chances of getting in...NSU no longer conducts interviews..its based entirely on your transcripts and the rest of the requirements in your application just help you all around..their more of an accessory to your gpa and transcripts..I believe there is an essay portion required when you apply..and if you look at the actual nursing school application you can read what the topic of the essay is...its pretty straight forward. overall this experience has been severely frustrating..NSU has been super unorganized with many of us...I applied in February and have yet to hear anything back from them..your applying for Spring admission though so maybe it won't be as bad for you. If i don't get into NOVA for the fall I've already decided that I'd apply ONCE again for spring admission and also apply to any other program which admits in the spring...I'm sending out good luck vibes to you and to everyone else who is in my situation...hopefully you won't go through the ordeal we have gone through.. :)
