NSU EntryBSN Program Fall 2010

Well, I am at Broward I don't have a final until next week..so my transcripts won't be in until next friday. You need to check you VIP page and make sure that everything is checked off. If you were missing something you should have received a call from them. They called me and the girl said they were calling the list of people they were missing things for. They should know that classes aren't over, and that grades won't be in yet. I hope they wait to review them..The girl I spoke with @ Nova on friday told me that they sent a lot of letters of denial so if you haven't gotten one it's a good thing. :) Lets all keep are fingers crossed.

well May should be a big month for everyone who hasn't heard back from NOVA yet...I guess it could either make or break us...I applied in February and still haven't received anything. I finished all the pre reqs and really this semester at school consisted of me taking an extra science and math class just so I could stay sharp...I've been so stressed out...I feel like everyday that passes is a day closer to receiving one of the most important letters of my life...GOOD LUCK TO US ALL!

Nova FINALLY received my last official transcripts from MDC Today.

I saw that it was checked off, but still said I was missing information. I called Nova and they told me that everything was in and I just needed to wait to get something in the mail. How exciting!

Has anyone heard anything?

what campus are the majority of people applying to? i applied to ft myers and i know they are only taking 40 students! :/ but ft lauderdale is taking more..

I applied to both but my first option is Ft. Lauderdale campus.

Do you know if any students have been accepted to the Ft. Myers campus?

so check this one out, i called today to confirm my final transcripts from Dade they havent even received it yet and i ordered it on Saturday. However, i called MDC and they told me that its going out they processed everything on Monday and it takes 3-5 business days. So i call NSU and the lady told me that i was still in the wrong program... i was in the RN TO BSN program not the entry level... i couldnt believe it i was so ****** off, they apologized took down my number and said they will follow up tomorrow when the counselors come back in since they already left for the day. I am sooo ANGRY this whole time i was calling them they said that everything was fine with my application and now they tell me this.... i wanted to cry, because who knows what my chances are going to be.. They understood and tried to comfort me by saying first thing tomorrow a counselor will change it to entry level. Who knows now what they are going to decide on or do for that matter. If they dont contact me by a certain time tomorrow i am calling or going over there myself because this is absolutely ridiculous. Another screw up for NSU.. i am very disappointed. So just a heads up to all that you need to ensure everything is correct, step by step. If it wasnt for this one girl i wouldve never known that I was entered in the wrong program. The only positive thing she stated was that i havent received a denial letter yet so i am in the clear for now.. im like thanks. GRRRRRRRRRRR......

I also applied to the Ft lauderdale campus..its definitely my first choice. I haven't heard anything back yet..and I'm hoping that by next week more of us will know SOMETHING...this is absolutely ridiculous how long we've all been waiting...

I called Nova today, because my grades finally posted today, and last week they told me that I could fax them in, to speed up the process. While the official ones got to them, so I called today to get the fax number, and they told me that they don't accept anything faxed! I figured that they couldn't take anything faxed to begin with, but why would they tell me to fax them?? Every time I speak with someone there I get a different answer. So I spoke with the nursing department, and they told me that they would not even look at my application until they received my final transcript! So I will have to continue to wait until Broward College sends my grades in. I am just very dissapointed at the fact that there has been no consistency with what they tell you their policy is. I understand they must be overwhelmed, but I like many others have been waiting since February, and at first they told me they were not going to be waiting for final transcripts to make decisions.

every single nursing school is just about the same now...I absolutely hate it...I think all these ppl need to get off their high horses and just know the facts and be able to answer our questions and concerns with straight answers....this is nursing school..not med school...it shouldn't be this difficult to know what the status is...It causes unnecessary stress..Broward college just posted my grades as well and I didn't even bother calling to ask NSU what I should do about the transcripts. I just ordered one and sent them in. I finished all the pre reqs last semester and I sent in my application with all my pre reqs done..this past semester I took extra classes just to stay busy...since Im already done with the pre reqs i expected a decision on my status to have been made already but alas...nothing has come in...another week in the unknown..

i went and met with some one at the ft myers campus and he said that i could email him a copy of my unofficial transcripts jjust to get the ball rolling. he also said that they pushed the deadline back to july 15th so that people could get their final grades in from summer classes (like me. ) my GPA so far is only a 3.0, and after these summer classes i am hoping that it will go up a little more. but i emailed them a copy of my unofifical just so they have something to look at. he also said, they could offer me a conditional acceptance, so long as i get good grades in my summer classes, i could start in the fall. but for now, its a waiting game...i was told that acceptance letters will go out around june 1st for ft myers. not sure if its the same for the other campuses.

Wow! Everyone you speak with says something different. Broward College told me they won't start sending transcripts until Monday, they should have them by thursday next week....So I feel like I won't know anything for another month!

Ok.. so finally I spoke with one of the counselors, they actually called me back thankfully. He told me that they wont look at your packet until your final grades are posted and transcripts are sent in.. I told him if it was ok since its beyond the deadline but he said that a lot of people are pending due to their final transcripts yet to come in, so he made a note in the system and is going to advise them that my transcript should coming in at anytime... he was really nice about but said that they have only made decisions to those that have no classes pending, meaning they already finished all pre-eq's before applying. Hope this information helps anyone out there in the unknown of NSU...it really sucks how they are handling all of this... i already went to Miami Dade College today and asked for my transcript because i was just going to drive it up there but they said it already went out on Monday and it takes 3-5 business days to receive.... sounds ridiculous but now its out of my hands. My counselor also advised me to check my VIP page often because thats where the most recent information is...he said that they will still be accepting students after May and through mid June. The cut off is June due to the fact that July is when they start prepping the accepted students as far as uniforms, payment, etc. I am still going to be calling NSU you have to be on top of them if not you will be stuck, my counselor advised me that if i wouldnt have called that it would have stayed that way and that wouldnt be good. >0( so mad!!! They have no sense of priority at all.. so frustrated.
