NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Same with me, will be calling them up this week to follow up. I echo your advice of stocking up on Skype credits. It may seem a bit expensive since its in Dollars, but call wise, you get much better quality and it actually runs on a cheaper per minute rate. Fingers crossed and just praying for each of us to get through this.

Anybody here who knows how many weeks does it usually take for the NMC to delete a duplicate account? Its been 10 days since I sent them an email but nothing happened.

@Mitchikay

Hi. That also became my concern. I thought that there was a problem with my nmc account since it was not displaying my cbt results and there were no updates after I passed the exam. It turned out that I am logging in to a different account. I sent an email expressing my concern to the NMC on Feb 18, then received a feedback on March 4 stating that they had already deactivated my other accounts. So, basically it took 2 weeks.

I've been looking through all your posts for a while now, whirlwind of emotions for sure. I'm happy for those who passed, and sad for those who had to take another one. I'm scheduled to take the cbt this June 19. I'm freaking out because I can't seem to retain any information from the blueprint, codes etc. I'm trying the royal marsden book but I'm still not quite confident enough, do you guys think a review center might help, Rachel Allen's offering a review for cbt but I think the price is too much, 25k for 25 days review, dont think it's worth it, but I'm going crazy and I think I need all the help I can get. What do you guys think?Any advice would help. Thanks :)

Thank you fellow nurses.. I passed my CBT exam that I took this afternoon..

read the Royal Marsden book..

focus on stroke and copd

infection control

leadership and delegation

some med surg

God bless!

So I really have to endure the agony of waiting. Anyway, my fault. But why is it that there's no message prompt that the email I am using for registration already have an account? They must do something about this to avoid duplicate accounts.

NO. I think there's no need for a review center. If you read the book and the code I'm sure that would be enough to pass the CBT. I am working and got only few hours of reading, I did it for a month and passed. Most of the questions are like taken from the book and the code. Calculations are easy (no dopamine or pediatric calculations in my case).

Hi! I will be taking the CBT this May (although I haven't started reviewing yet). Anyway, I know this might be a stupid question and obviously shows that I haven't taken the time to read the Code (old or new), but is it necessary to read both? Or is it enough to read the revised Code? Also, where can I find the cheapest price for the Royal Marsden book? I am still torn between buying the book and just using whatever free online resources I can find. Will appreciate all of your responses! thanks in advance. :)

As advised by the partner recruiter in UK of Omanfil, the OSCE will be taken around 5-6wks after arrival in UK. Before taking the OSCE, your hospital has a program to train you cause they want you to pass, of course. If you pass the first time, you can get your NMC pin after just 5 days of waiting...so hello band 5! If you fail on the first take, you may take the test again for a 2nd time. If you fail again, unfortunately, the hospital will send you back home. :(

Is there a difference between taking the exam in Pearson Vue and MISnet? I just checked the available slots for the next 2 months and Pearson Vue has very few available days left. Does this mean that it is better to take it there?

MISnet has a lot more available days maybe due to the many time slots offered. They have 3 time slots for both AM and PM scheds..

What do you guys think? I really want to pass on my first take and I was wondering if the test center would matter?

I took mine thru MISnet primarily because there are lesser people there. For me, I thought it was less need for crowd control, space to breathe and relax. Plus I like their time options better than PV. I passed, either way. :)

To those who are already in the Assessment stage, did you guys have problems uploading your documents to your NMC account? I just paid my application fee and I've downloaded all the necessary forms already. But I can't seem to upload anything onto my account! It just keeps giving me an error page. I thought it was with my speed/connection, but it's not the case. Don't tell me this is a bad sign with my application already! :(

And, to the Filipino applicants out there, what did you guys put under the registration authority? The regional PRC where you applied, or the main PRC branch in Manila?

Thank you to all the nurses who gave some feedback on the exam. I just took the CBT yesterday and luckily I passed!. As what others were telling, the Royal Marsden was very helpful and some NMC code.

To all those who will take it...Good luck guys!
