Mar 4, 201511 yr I'm from the Philippines! I'm not a staff nurse in a hospital, but in a clinic. It's more of OPD and acute emergencies.I'm going to take the exam on Monday. Hopefully I can wing it once. I have been constantly reading the thread since page 1. I've opened a few links from the blueprint, mostly the E's, and I'm also browsing thru Royal Marsden and the NICE guidelines like previously stated in the thread here.Yeah, there are no review centers for this as of now. I wouldn't bother looking, the materials are too new for public consumption to create review materials I think. And I agree with Kurokocchi, it's already free. It's so inspiring to see a lot of new posters passing the CBT! Makes me more pumped up for my exam.Cheers to us, future UK nurses! @nilasingnahipon what's ur agency?
Mar 4, 201511 yr hi guys! did you also try answering review questions like the ones on nurseslabs.com? will it be helpful in preparation for the exam? ty!
Mar 4, 201511 yr @Trollbella Hi there I am doing all the application myself, I am a Phil trained nurse but haved moved to the UK working as an HCA atm. Cheers.
Mar 4, 201511 yr hi guys! did anyone receive an email telling that their exam was cancelled? I cannot contact any of the numbers provided in the email. What should I do?
Mar 4, 201511 yr Hi is there anyone here who have passed the CBT and already on the Assessment stage of the process? How is the process and what are the other necessary documents that needs to be assessed? Can somebody please advise. Many Thanks in advance.
Mar 5, 201511 yr I haven't. My exam is still on schedule... Maybe it will help if you can contact both Pearson and your testing center?
Mar 5, 201511 yr Can anyone tell me what agency to apply? I am just a volunteer nurse in a primary hospital and it seems like they are looking for staff nurses in secondary and tertiary hospitals.
Mar 5, 201511 yr Hi trollbella!I'm applying in two agencies now, FSHC-NI and I am going to visit IPAMS office after I take CBT on Monday. Apart from CBT, I have intreview with IPAMS as well. So, just exploring ground right now as to which one has a better offer and pathway. How bout you? :)
Mar 5, 201511 yr To those who have taken it,How long in average would you say you've sat the test? I've read somewhere that they finished it in 1.5-2 hours?
Mar 5, 201511 yr I take the CBT this afternoon (second attempt!)… The first attempt took me a little over two hours. I'm starting to get so nervous. I've read through the Royal Marsden, and scanned most of the NICE links off of the blueprint. Still not feeling overly confident because my first attempt reaaallly discouraged me. I am encouraged however people in this thread have been passing on their second attempts.Anyone out there with final words of advice?? :)
Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
