NMC Test Online

Oh! That's good! They really need lots of nurses here.. Even here in Colchester where i'm in. I've also got until may to finish my requirements and i've been chasing my references from there. Not an easy job! especially when your bosses before have also gone somewhere else. So, where did you take your exams.. Do they have test centers in PI now?

Will probably have that.. It's a bit cheaper too!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there are any review centers right now that offer the NMC ToC in their program. Even if there are, though, I wouldn't pay for their services. I mean, the study materials are already there and free of charge at that. And I'm not just being stingy here; the people I know who've already passed the exam didn't have the privilege of studying in a review center, and they were able to clear that hurdle.

Still, I wouldn't go so far as to advise people against it. I mean, I know where you're coming from, just making sure to pass the test in one go and not have to waste money for a retake (by throwing money to the review center, ironically, but...).

I have not taken it yet. Yeah, thankfully we have Pearson VUE centers here, 3 of them IIRC.

The references are indeed a pain. I see even in the UK bosses are also trying to play hard-to-get with their employees. Well, hang in there.

I don't know if there's one.. So far there's no one who mentioned review centre on the the thread..

I recently took the CBT and luckily this time around I passed! The 2nd exam was a whole lot different than the first and I thought I won't make it. Whew! I just read some parts of the articles in the blueprint marked with E and The Royal Marsden student edition. Thank God I have a pdf file of it, was surprised some of the questions were reflected there. Good luck everyone!

I'm from the Philippines! I'm not a staff nurse in a hospital, but in a clinic. It's more of OPD and acute emergencies.

I'm going to take the exam on Monday. Hopefully I can wing it once. I have been constantly reading the thread since page 1. I've opened a few links from the blueprint, mostly the E's, and I'm also browsing thru Royal Marsden and the NICE guidelines like previously stated in the thread here.

Yeah, there are no review centers for this as of now. I wouldn't bother looking, the materials are too new for public consumption to create review materials I think. And I agree with Kurokocchi, it's already free.

It's so inspiring to see a lot of new posters passing the CBT! Makes me more pumped up for my exam.

Hi everyone I just want to share my experience regarding the CBT. I have been reading this thread since last year and finally had the courage to take the exam today and luckily I did pass it the first time. I have read through few links on the NMC Blueprint the bits that I wasn't too familiar with but the list/links itself was just too exhaustive and boring, I have read through the Royal Marsden Book which was advised from a friend and from the other users from here as well. Anyway, honestly the exam itself is mostly common sense questions and more on decision making and prioritisation. I have found practicing sample NCLEX questions quite useful just to have the feel on how MED SURG questions would be like but if you're a practising nurse it should be easy. But honestly, this NMC one is very UK based and most questions came from the NHS based practice.

I have been following this forum since last and have finally decided to take the test this Friday.

I was wondering if you came across any questions regarding lab results, what a patient may be diagnosised with, contraindications of specific medications.

I am petrified to take this exam and just want to make sure I have skimmed over the right information!

Any advice you could give would be great!

Hi there I would honestly say that the whole exam is based on a very general MEDSURG situations, nothing specific re: labs, pt diagnosis, pharmacology.. It has a mixture of some medicines but mostly situational question, and I also want to add that there were quite a few questions re: Leadership and Management. If you have read through the Code, the NICE guidelines Im sure you'd ace the test too.
