yeah a refund would be nice, or a free second attempt because they stuffed it, same same.Though I wonder if the extra attempt is because they've altered it maybe? seems odd that for no reason they'd give us another attempt.

i got another ATT, i can book again now and yes, 2 ATTEMPTS.can they do it free the next attempt since we are their test monkeys

I wish! Something is going on with this though. I just got an email from NMC to say my results from the test are "now in" though have been for weeks. I was so excited thinking they might have changed it to a pass.. no luck . But it's strange they're resending and changing attempts etc. I want to know whats happening. So mysterious NMC.

I just got the same email and also had a brief period of hope that my result may have changed but alas, still a fail! I only have one authorisation and it says that it isn't until the 16 of Jan even though I sat the exam more than 28 days ago. I wonder if they have reviewed the exam... problem is (one of the many problems) when you speak to the NMC they have no idea what is going on!!

Like Thedude9 I need mine by Jan, I got my visa today and am ready to go registration or otherwise.

As far as a refund goes I guess there is no chance of that as I imagine most of the fees go to Pearson Vue for administering the exam.

Does anyone else feel like this is the most unfair and frustrating process they have ever attempted?

It is rally unfair, you can tweet nmc @thenmc if you have one.

I received the same email! I took the test yesterday and failed. It's so frustrating because I felt very prepared going in, I had read over every website they listed on that silly blueprint in addition to the code/standards/publications etc. I would say my test was a solid 50/50 between questions regarding theory and the code/publications and then the clinical/medsurg questions... Which seems different from what some others of you had experienced. There definitely seems to be a lack of consistency in this which, I agree, is unfair.

I also wish that the critical questions were highlighted on the exam. Its so frustrating literally having no idea which ones were going to make or break us. I also feel like okay, I studied everything and failed. So what am I supposed to study now going forward? At least it seems they're making improvements to the process... Hopefully.

Are you sure thats the right twitter name? Just had a look and the only NMC one i can find is @nmcnews which is only stuff they have released, I would love to read what others have tweeted

Seems lik they changed it to nmcnews

Mines weren't marked ... And I looked everywhere!

Yep so I got the second email as well about nmc being informed of my results.....even though I took it two months ago. I am seriously not happy as they have given me 2 attmpts now instead of just the one left. But why should I have to pay again just because I was a guinea pig? Does anyone have the name or phone # of the lead manager for overseas registrations?

Im also terrified now that the same probs will happen with the prac exam and I'll have to keep paying £1000.......

Maybe be we could generate a joint letter to the overseas dept or something?

i tried scouring the site but i keep getting back to this [email protected] ... i've email them but to no avail... im getting increasingly worried about take 2.

first off. we aren't sure if the bugs were squashed

second, there could be more bugs for all we know...

third, payment for re-taking

fourth, i'd hate to go for didactics if the result would be the same for take 2, although i really do feel confident about my performance for take 1

fifth, i don't know if my employer can hold out that long...
