  1. Gen88, thank you for posting those complaint links. I will definitely be emailing both of them. Hopefully if enough of us do, some reform will come from it. It stinks it's now the holidays, because I feel like it's not going to help the NMC's already very slow response times.
  2. I received the same email! I took the test yesterday and failed. It's so frustrating because I felt very prepared going in, I had read over every website they listed on that silly blueprint in addition to the code/standards/publications etc. I would say my test was a solid 50/50 between questions regarding theory and the code/publications and then the clinical/medsurg questions... Which seems different from what some others of you had experienced. There definitely seems to be a lack of consistency in this which, I agree, is unfair. I also wish that the critical questions were highlighted on the exam. Its so frustrating literally having no idea which ones were going to make or break us. I also feel like okay, I studied everything and failed. So what am I supposed to study now going forward? At least it seems they're making improvements to the process... Hopefully.
  3. I'm scheduled for Thursday afternoon! I've been emailing my recruiter back and forth, so I'll let you guys know if I hear of any helpful tips or any info in general about this whole situation.
  4. I am scheduled to take the test for the first time at the end of this week.. Although, I feel like I should push it back because very few people are passing. But, at the same time, I've studied the blueprint and The Code/Standards and I feel like there's not much more I can do to prepare. I took the practice test (yes, it's only 5 questions- and it's free) and got them all correct, but it sounds like the practice test is probably not an adequate reflection of the exam itself. Especially because it's only 5 questions, and let's be serious, how is 5 questions going to help prepare us for anything? I'm very interested in everyone's experiences and what you've all heard back from the NMC. How frustrating all of this has become! My recruiter says she's had 10 people take it and 2 have passed. She couldn't give me any info other than that.
