Never Give Up!

NEVER GIVE UP! Great Things Take Time

A strong positive message can move mountains. What do you do to remind yourself to never give up? Is there someone in your life that's always there to pick you up? I believe that inspirational/motivational quotes are a great picker-upper... especially if read at the right time. Share your stories...

And, I had to go through OB!

That, alone, almost did me in.

No stories. I get into bother, I call my dad. Let him sort it out and then he tells me how he did it and how I caused it and how I can prevent it in the future. And it usually never happens again. My sisters are allowed to make as many mistakes as they like and he never says a thing to them. My mom is the enforcer for them.

He believes in making mistakes and learning from them. He never shouts if you had practiced due diligence and ABSOLUTELY NO EMOTIONAL outlay re your final decision. He lets my mother do the shouting and she's very good at it!

I say, find someone in your life like my dad that always has your best interests at heart, but also is objective, considered and careful and never let them go.

Wow, Curious.

Your Dad might be one of the rare few that I would accuse of being a self actualized individual of a higher consciousness.

He has guns bigger than yours Davey and even though he's only 5'10, I'm sure he could still take me out. So I had better listen!

Nah. He grew up in a tough part of England with Swedish and Danish parents who because of their foreign culture had it tough themselves. He's a really tough guy who doesn't speak much unless he's drunk and then tells the worst jokes in the world in his old accent that no one can understand and sings old football(soccer) chants and is currently in orgasmic euphoria because the European championship is on, that both Denmark and England are doing well in.

My mother has to make those horrible open Danish sandwiches and English breakfasts for him for the past two weeks, so she's in a mood. She's Irish and Scottish and if there are two nations that produce more bossy women, I'd like to know about it.
