Net @ Twu

Can anyone give me any advice on how the NET test went? How I should review what to expect etc?

Hi, Longhorn...:)

I took the NET last year @ UT and it was VERY easy!!!

Like the other posters stated earlier it's primarily reading comprehension and math.

I'm sure you'll do fine. Good luck!

Im a junior II at TWU Dallas... its a great program, but it is very competitive and you HAVE to be dedicated or you wont do well. The faculty is great and want you to succeed; in my experience they have been very warm and willing to help in any way possible.

The GPA cut off for my class was 3.76 and I heard that for the Fall 2005 junior I's it is like a 3.83 or something. It is true that students that take their pre-reqs at the Denton campus get an extra 0.2 pts. added to their GPA, so it is definitely worth it. Especially since admissions are so competitive...every little bit counts!

Good luck with everything...

Did anybody who took the NET recently @ TWU, get their scores back yet?

I totally forgot to ask if they will mail the results, or if they will let us know the scores @ the day of orientation.

You get them at orientation. Don't worry about the results - they don't affect you getting in - just determines if you are going to be in the success program - meaning you don't have clinicals the first semester and you take 5 semesters instead of 4. You also don't take pharm the first semester. [if you've already taken pharm somewhere else, there's a 99% chance you will be taking it again - we had a guy w/ a BS in biomed science and he even had to retake it.]

Anyway, I'm at TWU-Houston so if you have any questions - feel free to email me at redefinition @ msn. com or AIM mentalpiracyx. I'll be glad to answer your questions! I know I sure had a lot before I started at TWU.

Also, buy a Upass at orientation. It's a great deal and they are not selling them after school starts.

Thanks for all the information. I've already went to orientation last friday. So I've got my scores back, I'm in the traditional program, which I was praying for...

Peace Ginger
