Hi- I just received my Nurse's Entrance Test score today and I got an 81. The national average is a 64, and I was told by my first-choice school that I only need to get above the national average to not have to take it again and to be considered for the program. Still, I was a little disappointed. Does anyone know what a good score is on this test? Is a score of 81 so-so or better than so-so in terms of looking like a promising and intelligent nursing school candidate?
Thanks for your input...

I don't know the overall grade without looking, but I think my reading was 73 and math was 88.
I was told that those were really great grades. I thought the same thing you did, but was relieved that I made well over the 50 needed on both sections.
Way to go! :)

From my score paper:
NET composite score 86%
Average score 56%
Passing score 41%
I am not sure what a 'good' score is on the NET, but we all did better than any average.

HI, I'm getting ready to take the RN entrance exam. Can anyone tell me what I should look forward too on the test? Like, how much math, science, vocab ect? Any help would be appriciated. Tks, LaDonna

No science or vocabulary, per se. The test is broken down into math and reading. The math is straight-forward, lots of decimals and fractions, a little basic algebra - order of operations stuff. The reading is, I thought, a bit harder than the math.
I scored a 99 overall.

WOW, Really? Is it the same in all states? I live in Indiana and am attending IPFW. This news makes me fell much better.

My score on the NET was either an 85 or an 86 - can't remember exactly. All of the other prospective students I knew scored somewhere in the 74-79 range. As it worked out, a score of 74 or higher was enough to secure one of the 40 available slots at the school.
FYI - About 400 people tested for the 40 available slots.
My guess is that your score is plenty good enough to get you admitted to nursing school, but it may depend upon how well everyone else scored, as well as any other criterea you school sets out.
Good luck! Hope you made it!! :)
I have a small Review Book called : "Study Guide for the NET, the HOBET, and HELP Entrance Tests". I haven't taken the NET yet but hear it's straight from this book.
ISBN 0967544645 it's put out by Educational Resources Inc.

I just scored an 80 on my NET, is that a good score? The sheet said that I was in the 96% percentile, is that possible with a score of 80? Seems a little odd, does anyone know how they rate your scores for the NET? Any info would be great!!! Thanks!
It all depends on what your school requires. My program only looked at the overall composite grade of the english and math & required 50 on both. I think my overall grade was 81%, but really don't know if that is good or not. I just know I made 73 english/88 math, and went way over the 50 required.
I thought the percentile was probably the ranking of those who took it with you, or possibly the same day all over the US????? I dont' know how they get that. My percentile was 97%, so it goes right along with yours. 80/96% - 81/97%
....things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm? lol
