Jan 23, 201115 yr Hi all!!! Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Education Loan Repayment for 2011..I came across the thread for 2010 but was just looking for some additional support...ahhhh!!!!!!!! Its so stressful! Thanks!
Jul 18, 201114 yr Amylee255-I think I read of 2 who received the email but did not get awarded. One had some mess-up with child support; the other said that she just did not get it! And she has applied this year. I wonder why she didn't get it!? That too is my fear! Maybe they depleted their funds?
Jul 18, 201114 yr I thought there were 2 as well... but didn't the other have something wrong on her credit report?
Jul 18, 201114 yr I guess skipping through the pages I missed one, but I did read about the guy with the child support thing. I'm just going to keep praying we all get it!! It would be devastating to come this far and not get it. For now, I'm going to try and stay positive... and not stress over it too much.
Jul 18, 201114 yr Shortsuzy 87- I work at a nonprofit disproportionate share hospital and I am at 177% of student loan to yearly income, so individually I am very qualified... I probably just made a mistake somewhere (or the people from HRSA or my lenders gave me the wrong information) on my application. But I will keep waiting and hope that I will just be in a later e mail... Maybe they are doing it in alphabetical order? If so, my last name starts with an S, so I wouldn't be til later anyway...
Jul 18, 201114 yr Amy, I'm trying to do the same thing! It's hard! Hopefully just a couple more weeks! They started so much later this year, I feel like they have to start moving a little faster... right? Jewlya, in previous years, there have been several rounds of emails. People were still receiving the initial verification emails up until September, so there is definitely still time! Unfortunately, I don't think it's alphabetically-my last name starts with an S...
Jul 18, 201114 yr Tess- they did start much later this year. From reading posts from previous years, it seems people received emails as early as May. This year it is not the case so hopefully they will move quickly and we will get our letters asap!
Jul 18, 201114 yr Hi all! I received my email on 7/14, from the gold team. I am from NY and my ratio is 245%. Best of luck to all of us!
Jul 19, 201114 yr Wouldn't it be kind of awesome if someone wrote and said their letter was from the purple with pink polka dots team? LOL
Jul 19, 201114 yr The fact they are using colors for group names is very encouraging for those of us who have not received an email yet. I seriously doubt they would be using color names for only 2 groups! That wouldn't make any sense. I also wouldn't put too much into what color your in either. As far as we know, this could be a completely random process and whoever is in charge of gold or blue or whatever color could just have all of the info together before the others. Everyone take a Xanny bar and chillax! Its all good! Again congrats to those who got your emails!
Jul 19, 201114 yr Hi Fellow nurses, I'm new to this thread, I work at a DSH in NY, I also received an email on 7/14 from Gold Team. My ratio is like 155%. So I have had the same sequence of events- some of my loan dates changed (wondering y some and not all) and my credit was checked then this email. From reading previous year's threads it seems we may not be guaranteed a contract but the chances seem pretty high. I also feel that all you guys have been wondering about this credit check thing and how it relates to selection, I dont believe they only check credit for deliquencies, I believe they may possibly be checking on how much overall debt one may have as also related to their ratio/income overall (just a thought- feedback?). Anyways, guess we may never know how we are selected. Good luck to us all though.
Jul 19, 201114 yr Hello All,I am new to this site and wanted to respond a little as well. Like you all I am very nervous and now even more after reading all the responses. I have too received the email from the blue team (I am in IN), faxed accordingly, exclamation point behind my name, dates changed on the loan page, inquiries on my credit report from two different places, and no negative events on my credit report. The main question I have is if you all are figuring your debt to income ratio correctly. On the HRSA website it is your income divided by the amount of your student loan. This makes mine to be around 60%. If you guys are doing correctly do you have 200,000 or more in student loans? I am just curious because I only have 110,000 and wondered if there is even a chance of getting it. This is my third year applying. Last year I received that letter that was talked about in earlier post that stated I was eligible but denied. I researched this last year and sent in an inquiry of why. They emailed me back and basically said that I was selected, but I had sent in too much information. I believe that was extremely helpful. I realize this is like the lottery, but the waiting is killing me just like you all.
