Needing a push!

Ok, I am on LS1 and half way there and starting to really feel burned out. Started in January and about to soon take test # 5 of 8. I am really starting to miss my life and wondering if I am ever going to make it through this. I log in and read the post trying to stay motivated but am in need of a bit of encouragement. Advice please...:uhoh3:

Now that's the way to do it! No better incentive than getting an A on one of the tests! Now get on a roll and keep on moving forward.

yahhhhh:yeah::rckn:

way to go...i'm still floundering on LS1 i think because i've taken 6 exams in the past 3.5mo i'm burnt out too...plus i had surgery and took a few weeks off to heal...now i need to get back on track and that A looks good to me! Taking this on on Saturday, LS2 Dec 13, and LS3 Dec 29! whew....=)

Well I have all my nursing classes to take and micro. So I was silly and thought I would take Micro first..boy I wish I would have saved it for the end. I am stuck with it. There is so much stuff I get overwelmed sometimes. I have been sitting on it for 4 months now. I wasn't planning on taking this long. Well keep up the good work girls!

Tips for Micro...I did it in 3 months maybe less. Micro Demystified and Microbiology cliff notes from Amazon.com. It puts it in a whole new perspective and makes if fun and easier to learn. That was money well spent. I got a B on that one.Remember, they will likely only want to make sure you know the most important things on the subject. Good Luck! :)

Congrats and enjoy the holiday!

I need a push too! CPNE eligible a YEAR ago and haven't done much about it. Every time I start studying I become overwhelmed and shelve it! :banghead:

Oh no! You are so close. You just have to do this! Find a buddy that can help keep you motivated and tugging along and get the dreaded CPNE behind you! Where do you plan to test? And have you taken a CPNE workshop? LPN+CPNE= :nurse: RN!!!!! You can do this!

Tracey, congratulations! You are a motivator for me--I have just started studying for the first nurse exam. :up:

Tasha, wow, you really are plowing through those exams! Get it, girl! :yea

For the ladies who are getting burnt out with the grind, how often are you studying? Are you living, breathing, eating nurse exams? Are you also working? Do you have kids?

When I was in LVN school there were some girls that had kids, full-time jobs, AND had to attend school. They were stretched very thin.

You have to make sure you take some "me" time on a regular basis.

Thanks Traceyjo, I've re-started studying for the CPNE and hopefully will take a workshop in the spring. Looking to test next summer/fall in albany because time is running out for me!
