I'm starting the nursing program this Fall (yeah!).
I am enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology I & II this summer. I finish Part I of AP this Thursday, but I don't think I am going to take Part II the second part of the summer because I am so incredibly burned out with 5 1/2 hours of classes per day, 4 days per week, and 2 exams per week. I am in a constant state of cramming and I don't think I can take round 2 and still keep a good grade.
Because almost all of my pre-reqs are knocked out for my Nursing program...this is all I HAVE to take for this Fall:
Nursing I
Pharmacology I (which is online at our school)
I also need to fit in the following, somewhere over the next two years:
Anatomy and Physiology II (probably in the Spring 2008)
Introduction to Statistics (not required, but probably a good idea)
Statistics I (required for my BSN, not ASN)
Microbiology (required for my BSN)
Nutrition (required for my BSN)
Life Span I (Psychology)
I was thinking of doing...
Microbiology THIS Fall
Anatomy and Physiology II Spring 2008
Summer 2008...Nutrition (online...but I'll have a health assessment for Nursing that summer)
Introduction to Statistics, Fall 2008
Life Span I, Fall 2008
Statistics, Spring 2008
This would allow me to only take only 3 classes, per semester, other than Fall 2008, when I would have 4, with two of them online, b/c one would be my Life Span I course and the other would be Pharmacology III.
I have heard that Pharmacology is easy...just memorization and you take a test.
I just have no clue of how much is involved in these nursing classes. Our clinicals are scheduled from 7:00 am. to 3:00 pm. one day per week.
