Hi everyone, so I am enrolled now and I just received my Direct Loans statement. Because I withdrawl from a previous class, it dropped me down below part-time status. :redlight: I need to know what do I need to do in order to keep my loans in an in-school deferrment since I'm doing EC now. Thanks to all that respond. Have a nice weekend!!:loveya:

Couldn't you quickly enroll in an online class, perhaps through your local cc, in order to bring your classload up to acceptable? Even if the class is an elective, it should still count for enrollment purposes. Just a thought.

If you had a Stafford Loan, you can go here and fill out the deferment form that applies to you. You may need to ask them if EC is considered an eligible school. If so, then you can fill out the In School Deferment Form. Good luck to you!

You can apply online for a forbearance, I believe. I've done it for my federal loans before. I don't know if that would work for you, but you could try it.

2nd what Baptized said. Also, if you have not taken any exams, you will have a problem. EC can confirm your enrollment, and they will confirm that you could be considered a "full-time" student, but only if you have taken, enough exams within a span of time that equal full-time hours. They did it for me, but I had taken about 12 hours worth of exams at that point.
