NCSN

First things first,  Happy School Nurses Day to you all!!!! I hope you are recognized!!

Now Imma do a little bragging, seems appropriate on School Nurses Day...

I passed the certification exam yesterday!.

Took it in March, waited longer for this than my state boards in 1983!!!

If you are eligible, I encourage you  take on this challenge. The journey is worth it.

I know the feeling.

I kept waiting to see an announcement that you passed. Kept going back to your first thread about taking it ... then, life got in the way ...

I thought about it today and BOOM, I missed your announcement for past 2+ weeks. LOL!

Ha! Life does indeed get in the way!

I'm taking the exam tomorrow. I know our sub is effectively asleep until Mid-August, but if anyone still checks in from time to time, wish me luck!

How did it go?

I felt like it went OK, but it felt harder than NCLEX, to be honest, though I took that 10 years ago... Some of the questions made me legitimately mad, especially the scenario ones, where I felt like what I would actually do first wasn't even an option! And now I have to wait until Mid-Late September for the results... I was honestly a little disappointed in the online study group and felt that it was difficult to feel motivated to study more than what they suggested there, so we'll see.... I kept a mental note of a few questions that I was uncertain about and looked them up after I finished and I got all of them right, so I'm hopeful that I kept that up for all the others I waffled on!

I swung from I totally failed to I totally rocked it! So hard to say...had been almost 38 years since my boards...?

Y'all, I found out just mere moments ago that I PASSED!

This is such a HUGE relief. I hadn't taken an exam since NCLEX in 2011 (other than the APHON chemo administration test which was essentially open book), and hadn't had to study for anything since my BSN program in 2012.

First thing after calling my husband was updating my email signature to include 'NCSN'

Big congrats to you!  I know that feeling- I took it in March and passed and was so relieved as I found it harder than I expected.

Congrats!

Congrats!

I wish I was eligible.  I have my ADN instead of a BSN so I'm not allowed to take it.  Its too bad since there is very little difference between the two ?

I worked really hard at a traditional 4 year BSN program. I respectfully disagree with you, but will not get into a argument.
