NCSBN learningext.com

Anyone used NCSBN's learningext.com? What can you say about it?

Actually I am using it right now, very close to the nclex, but some things are confusing.

i did not like it and found it was not like the nclex (not my exam anyway)

I agree with the above poster. I did not find it helpful. I passed NCLEX on Monday and I found it most like Kaplan. (I did Mosby CAT, Saunders, Kaplan and NCSBN)

i also used that coz my friend gave me her account. i didnt find it helpful for me. kaplan and saunders helped me a lot. they are kinda similar to the actual exam.

hello everybody,im a new member, just registered today...Im still trying to figure it out..Where can i post a new message?sorry precy i posted here as a reply to your message..But anyway,im also using ncsbn for 3 weeks, they only give rationale to the correct answer and they dont explained why other options are wrong and you have to work on yourself to research more...:)

HI

I am using this now and I don't find it particularly useful. It's ok as a bare bones review but I am finding that some of the answers are incorrect...starts to make me question myself. The one good thing...I am only doing the 3 week program I have also been using Saunders; find that much more beneficial.

Wouldn't recommend it...stick with Saunders.

Yeah ddzwalker, saunders is very good, explains you why other options are incorrect also - at the same time, tells u, why u answered something wrong like what you could have done differently to answer it correctly.

Ditto! I had the same problem too. Saunders and Kaplan, is the way to go.l like Saunders testing strategies are the best.

I think NCSBN can be helpful if you try to analize the reason behind their rationales and the pattern of them. I did Kaplan, NCSBN, and took Mosby CAT twice to give me some encouragement. I noticed for some of the questions for the NCSBN they will tell similar things and I interpret that as that should be the way I should be thinking when that topic or situation has been given to me. I believe it help me to get the key points. On the other hand Kaplan questionare is very good for strategies if that's what you lack.

I wish all of you good lack and don't get discourage.

Take care, be well, healthy, and happy.

I paid for the NCSBN 3 week review course and found it just OK.The customer service was terrible and the tech support people were rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this program to anyone.Read Ann Sylvestris RN book and you will do fine-

I used some of Suzannes plan along with the Saunders book and passed the first time.Doing 100 questions per day from a variety of sources and reading the rationales is the most critical part -I did like 10,000 questions before I sat for the NCLEX-RN-at least! Also believing you can pass and visualizing the RN license in your pocket is the best way to get your license.Good luck.
