Hi all I just finished the test and I honestly have no ideaa how I did. i remember several priority, which patient to see first, but then I had questions related to when should a nurse or charge nurse intervene and a couple of teaching questions. I had one question that had me calculate intake.
How do the patient teaching questions balance on the difficulty scale are they considered easier or harder?
All I can do now is wait. My exam shut off at 84 or 85. I don't remember. I just cringed when it went to question 76.

There is no way to analyze/rationalize the NCLEX. It is what it is. I had some simple questions towards the end of mine and I passed with 75 questions. Just try to do something to pass the time. :) The odds are in your favor, just remember that. You'll still freak out until you know, so just try to take your mind off of it. :pumpiron:

I just took mine on the 26th and passed with 75 questions. My test was filled with priority questions, infection control and a TON of teaching. I wish you the best. I'm sure you did great! Usually patient teaching questions are in the application/analysis level..which are high level questions. But it would be inaccurate to judge your perfomance based on the type of questions you got. Good luck!
Well according to the Dept of Health website I have an active license - I went to Pearson's Vue and it says my exam results are not ready but underneath delivery it says successful - so I guess I have passed. I am so gald this is now behind me.
My new job starts on the 7th. Does anyone know how long it will take to actually get my license?
Thanks to everyone and good luck to all future test takers

Clarification...You took the test TODAY and already have results??
Yes. I couldn't believe it. I had heard that the state I am in has quick results.

Congrats to you too. I am so glad this is behind me DC has one thing going for it and that is fast turn around results. Good Luck as an RN

Am sorry, don't mean to burst your bubble, but Delivery succesful on Pearson Vue website mean your exam has been delivered to your Bon successfully. All the best!

I took my nclex pn this morning. I had 85 questions and it shut off. I'm sooo nervous about it. I had a lot of proritizing, and whats the most important to teach a pt. Its wrong that they make you wait to see if you passed!

i took my test yesterday, 8/1, and got 265 questions. we're both in the same boat 'cause I honestly don't know how I did either - let's just say the feelings right now aren't too good.
i got a LOT of teaching/effective questions, lots of delegation and priority, when would the nurse intervene, 4 or 5 select all that apply, 2 calculations... and after that my mind goes blank. i suppose with 265 questions you get a variety of everything.
best wishes to you!

At my job, there are lots of very experienced nurses who always tell us newbies about waiting weeks or months to get their results. The test itself was also spread out over a weekend instead of the 75 question/one hour event that many of us go through now. We're pretty lucky these days. Best of luck on your wait.
