NCLEX - Same test in PI vs USA

It is exactly the same where ever in the world. The NCLEX-RN exam is only administered by Pearson-Vue and there is one in Makati for NCLEX w/c is said to be one of the biggest outside the US. The one in Hong Kong w/c Filipinos previously used before NCLEX testing was approved in late 2007 had only 15 computers.

Yes. It is a national exam. It is the same where ever it is taken. Once it is passed it has reciprocity to other Boards but as we also mentioned it is only ONE of the requirements to be licensed in a State. If one wants to be licensed in another State, they only have to apply for Licensure By Endorsement and/r Licensure by Examination (w/o repeating the NCLEX) depending if there was a license ever granted from the previos BON or BRN. They still have to meet other extra requirements if that State has one (esp. if foreign-educated or w/o a US SSN) to be licensed since passing of the NCLEX-RN exam is only ONE of the requirements to be licensed. It is not THE requirement. This is also why we keep saying that we are not applying for NCLEX but are actually applying for licensure in a specific State.

It is a national exam and is not specific as to where it is written. Not sure where you are getting your information from but most here take more than an hour to complete the exam.

The reason it was put in Philippines, I noticed that computers are lacking and hand written is still popular there, and they tend to have brown outs on electricity quite often.

So I was thinking maybe they gave a different style of exam there, I was pretty sure questions were the same, I was more interested if it was computer based.

It is computer-based. NCSBN will not make any exemptions and there is no other way to administer the NCLEX-RN exam other than thru a PC since the format of the exam itself or the strategy of the exam is it being a computer-adaptive test (CAT). Not being administered via PC will defeat it's very purpose.
