NCLEX results???

Pennsylvania will post results within 2 days, NORMALLY. This can vary greatly if you take your test close to the weekend or holiday time period.

If you take the test on a wednesday, it may be posted by friday, or you may have to wait til the following monday. They do not post on weekends from what I know.

You could try and call- but they wont give out your results over the phone. You'll have to wait and just check the PA BON every day to see if you name is there. You will see your name listed with RN/LPN next to it if you passed. If you failed, your GN permit will say "null and void" next to it.

I'm really not sure on that.. I dont think they would give that info over the phone, but you could try..

Hi Megan,

I heard the rumors about calling and told my friend about calling the BON and gave her the number. She called the day after taking the NCLEX and was told a license has been issued in her name. She immediately called me. Then I called the bon and was told the same thing. We both found out 24 hours later. The lady was really nice. All she wanted to know was our SS number. They posted the license info. on the board of nursing website 48 hours later.

I honestly couldnt tell you how it works. It may very well depend on the lady whom you speak with. Usually PA is pretty good about posting in 48 hours and you can just get your results that way. I was also told not to call- it just makes more work for the people there to do and slows down the time that they get to posting your results on the licensing board.

Llike I said, it may just depend on who you speak too and the mood they are in- but they dont have to give those results over the phone (from what I know).

I was also told not to call, in fact you should get a brochure when you go to test that explains why they don't want anyone to call. I took my test on a Tuesday and the results were posted THursday. They are pretty good at posting within 48 hourse of your testing. I would wait it out and check the website after 48 hours. Trust me, I know that waiting is a killer but we all had to do it!!

Could be as early as Tuesday, it could be as late as a week later. It almost depends on how "busy" the BON is at that time. I dont recommend calling as that just delays and makes more work for whomever has to answer the phones when they could be doing something else. Its best to just check the license verification website..(frequently!)

I called the bon and they told me it could take anywhere from 2-30 days for the license info to post on website, it just depends on how busy they are. Apparently they are pretty busy right now with PN license renewal so there is no telling how long it will be. I took my test this monday and it is thursday and they still have no results yet....I know the waiting sucks:uhoh3:
