As far as I know, you can try it immediately after your NCLEX.

I thought the trick was gone…unless, of course, you want to spend $200.
So how does it work what do I do
Gone as is what I'm so lost and nervous

I took nclex yesterday and did the pvt as soon as I get off my test center and they accepted my credit card and payment and, now I regret hitting the submit button because I am registered again for the next test which means I probably did not pass the test yesterday although quick result is not yet posted. I called Pearsonvue said that trick doesn't work and they said computer will accept your payment even though u passed and will let u take nclex again and it's non refundable. If I get the quick result and I passed they will take the payment regardless. If I fail then I am registered for the next battle. So whatever happens I guess I have to accept it because I did my best on this test. Fail or not gotta keep on going and try harder. I will update when I get the result. But this PVT makes me feel that I failed although I got hard question that u could possibly get I have 21 SATA 3 Math 4 Hotspot. Computer shut off at 219. So we shall see. I just need new study materials. I hope somebody can help me with this. Thanks

PVT guide, do it that way with a empty visa gift card from someone else online, so you don't risk any money.
Thanks

You definitely do NOT want to try the trick immediately after completing the exam. Since your exam is scored twice, and you won't know at what point your scoring is complete during the following 24 hours, you have NO certainty whatsoever of how you did if you try it too early, before finalized scoring.
Any indication of pass or fail prior to your test scores being finalized is completely unreliable.
Wait at least 24 hours (it will take longer if you have had a hold placed on your scoring for any reason, and there are many).
I did it too early I am in panic mode as soon as I get out of the testing center. I didn't know what to do. I never felt that way in my life with any other test. I am a foreign graduate. I was in practice for 5 years prior coming here in the states. I am an RN and Philippines and in middle east (kuwait). But taking this nclex is incomparable to any test I took. It's nerve racking. I didn't do the right procedure doing pvt so I'm still hoping for good news after all. 48 hours for quick result is the longest for me. So I will update for results I still have 22 hours to wait from this moment. God bless us all.
Well, panicking has never produced a good result for anyone, so I'd suggest doing something to calm yourself down now :)
Pay the eight bucks for Quick Results; at least you'll be certain of a pass or fail with that.
Good luck.
