nclex experience

This was one of the most demanding test I fe had in my life when I thought I passed I failed and when I failed I thought I passed. I am an older student that graduate in 2013 and I was going through a custody fight and divorce the whole way through. All I kept saying to myself is that I can't let her win I gotta keep going. I lost my job had to move in with my mom and was financially ruined. And my ex was trying to eradicate me from my children s life and she was always jealous that I was in an RN program and she was a LPN. The first time I took the test I studied but not that hard and I also waited too long , please people take the test immediately it only gets worse.

I used these here forums as a way to get strength so that I could keep on going . I took the the 3 times and for the 3rd time I used Saunders, YouTube videos, Kaplan book, one week ATI COUSE WHEN I GRADUATED DIDNT HELP MUCH.but saunders was great and so was the questions on

ine that I used sooooo much, even when I did bad on a quiz I just kept on testing but I used the book to get more base knowledge so that I could answer the select all that apply better.

on my test I got soooooo many priority questions it was ridiculous and only about 15 selects and it stopped at about 125 for me the 3rd time but the first time it stopped at 83 and the 2nd time it was 225 but I ran out of time ( I took too many breaks ) I think I should've passed then.

People if if I can do it so can you devote 2 to 4 weeks of non stop studying and used everything over and over and make it part of you . This test can really fool you if your not on your game as you can see I am not the best test taker , I ve never been but I've always worked hard and that is something we all can do..

Welcome!

Thanks for sharing your story! So you passed right?

when I thought I passed I failed and when I failed I thought I passed.

Congrats! Happy for you I failed twice and I am getting ready to study for third time using study guide passNclex2014 I just found out on youtube 97 pages and Ncbsn for questions! I am not a best test taker but I am a hard worker!

i m in the same boat guys feeling devastated ,nowhere a loser:notworthy:.doing saunders now.

Yes I finally did and I thought I failed... Oh yea I want to tell everyone that the pearson trick doesn't really work . I found out a little early by going online to my nursing board..

If I can do it so can you.. Just keep on studying , if u can get I to a groove by reading your stuff over and over I did a lot of content and then confirmed it with question and when I got a bad grade on a quiz I did more until I did better.

You can do it have faith in urself...Saunders is good and I did notes too .....

What would you recommend for YouTube videos? Please suggest :)

What I did was read or go over te material that I am having trouble with and then go to you tube for follow up as a visual and I would Michael linares you tube videos they were great and stuck to my head.

The NCLEX is tough. I am an LPN going for my RN too. The LPN boards went smooth for me. I waited 4 weeks after graduation and wished I took it sooner. My best study resource was ATI. I go to Rasmussen and we do ATI assignments every week, plus practice and proctored exams throughout the program. After graduation from the LPN program the school required us to come back for 3 day for a class with an ATI instructor. That helped a lot. She gave us lots of pointers on how to take the NCLEX, hints on all the apply questions, and how to look for "distractors" - answers that look pretty but are there only to distract you from the correct answer.

I agree the NCLEX is scary but it's do-able. This time around for my RN I plan on taking it right away because I am already studying for NCLEX. Every time I study for an exam or do an assignment or read a chapter I remind myself that this is for the NCLEX too!

hello, and congratulations RN! i did want to ask, you mentioned something about the pearson vue trick. you said it didn't work in your case? could you please elaborate, if you don't mind? i'm asking because i recently also took my NCLEX and still waiting for results. i know the trick is just exactly that, a trick, but i'd like to find out your experience. did you pass but still got charged the 200? thanks so much in advance!

You are definitely on the right track.
