NCLEX Blues

I just took nclex this am and if I had to bet my life I failed, I would. I got 125 questions and I missed the last question which was a level 1 question. So embarrassed that I won't even say what it was. So where do I go now? I took a review course and practiced questions every night. I'm so depressed. I felt like I forgot everything I knew during the test. I live in a state where we can not get our results via the web or by calling, so now its a waiting game. Any words of wisdom for what to do next????Pugs :crying2: :crying2:

Hang in there! I'm crossing my fingers for you!! Just try to tell yourself you studied so hard and did all the prep work for this test that was humanly possible and maybe if your state takes forever to give you the test results, maybe you should go on a mini-vacation somewhere to relax and take your mind off it (yeah I know that's nearly impossible to not think about it!) Anyways, good luck!!! I take the test in three weeks, so I totally feel for you!!

I am in the same boat...took 75 ?'s and really think I failed :( I have turned OCD as I check the web site every second. Well, if I failed I will pick myself up and take it again. Things could be worse...I have good health, a supportive spouse, and the chance to retake. Life is full of curve balls...guess we roll with the punches or drown in our own misery. I am literally going insane.

Karen:

I really doubt you are going insane. In fact, you sound pretty sane. I like what you said, "Life is full of curve balls...guess we roll with the punches or drown in our own misery. What you are saying is we make the choices as to which way we will go. Well said.

I hate to ask this question because it seems I should know since I graduate in 2 weeks but...how do I find out where and when boards are offered in my state?

Did you submit an application to your BON?

They should have sent you some information with your packet.

You need to register with Pearson-Vue for the exam. http://www.pearsonvue.com.

The cost of the exam is $200, which must be paid before you will receive your ATT which stands for Authorization to Test. Pearson-Vue is now the company that sends this document out, but only after receiving approval from your state BON to do so.

If you go to their website, it will list all of the locations for your state. You will also need to select a date, as well as location, but you cannot do this until you have your ATT.

Hope that this helps................. :)

Thank you sooooooo much I have spent hours online trying to figure this out!!!

You pick yourself up and relax some way, some how.

And you wait for your results.

Best wishes.

I am in the same boat as you GN1974. Took it today, only had 75 questions, and know for sure that I failed. BUT, at least I know I have the chance to take it again, unlike school where if you failed a test, you FAILED! PERIOD! I need to get myself out of the house and away from this computer (you know, the OCD part). But starting this evening, I will probably be checking the State Board site every 2 minutes to see if things have posted. Good luck to you all. I wish you all the best and hope all of us pass - this sitting and waiting thing really SUCKS!!!!!
