Passed NC7 with an A today. Yay!!! I used a Chancellor's guide as well as Lisa Arends' notes (just lightly) to prepare for this one.
The test was VERY similar to the practice tests. Same flavor of questions. :)
On to NC5 (9/26), then to NC6 (10/17)! :)

Congrats!!! I don't feel ready for this exam at all. I might end up changing the date from this Saturday. Was it a lot of theorists and organization questions? I'm scared i'm not going to pass.
Yes to both ... I did really well in the "Framework for Nursing Practice" section, so that helped my grade, I'm sure! That's 40% of the whole enchilada. I don't remember anything super sneaky on there ... a couple of questions where I said, "Huh?" but that happens with every exam ... I just tell myself those must be those "experimental" ungraded questions they reference at the beginning, ha ha!
I was worried about this one -- woke up out of a dead sleep this morning wondering what the gist of the Goldmark Report of 1923 was. Good grief, I'm glad to have it done!
Did you take the practice exams for this one?

Grats! So that a good break test when the concepts exams get to be a bit mucho?
I've been using Chancelors for NC 1 and feel pretty ready, now I just need to score the next 6.

So how much study effort did you put into the nc7 before you took the practice exams? Did you use any of lisa Arrends pratice exams and did they help? I have been pondering this material for a very long time but think I am just too afraid to jump in and do it. Any advice?

Yeah, it's a good break ... but honestly, I'm glad to be getting back to the "normal" exams, ha ha!
I really like the Chancellor's guides. I love the audio. Anything that makes me productive during an hour commute is a good thing, since reading and driving would be VERY dangerous. LOL
I'm sure you'll do just fine on NC1!!
I listened to all the Chancellor's audio and also read through the entire guide, then took the first EC practice test. Then I re-read some sections, read a bit of Lisa Arends' notes, then took the second EC practice test. Did that over the course of few weeks. It is a lot to learn/know, but a lot of it is logical, too, and not just memorizing which person developed which nursing theory.
I took the first practice exam...didn't do great on it...not really any worse than how I did on the others. I never do well on them. I still have the one to take yet.

Hi Lunah. Did you mean the Chancellor's study guide, or the Excelsior?
