I am a member of Nurses Unite and Nurses Show Your Srethoscopes and I have found them both to be positive forums for nurses to share they're experiences both personal and professional. As far as the other concerns mentioned in the post, nurses need to take initiative for themselves. I've ALWAYS been able to get my breaks and my hospital has adequate nurse patient ratios. Maybe someone should start a Facebook page or other forum dedicated to addressing the political aspects of nursing aforementioned. I can't help but feel that maybe Allnurses is a little envious of the popularity that these pages have obtained so quickly...

What post? If you're referencing another post, why not make your comments there?
I seriously doubt that anyone at AN is envious of 2 new start-up forums. Not sure how/why you would have that impression, but I think it's rather odd that you started a post to say that.
Let's see how long they last.

You might want to get down off that high horse first. Not every hospital is like yours. In fact, it's quite rare.
I haven't even heard of those pages, just fyi. So how popular are they, then?

Me neither. I've heard of "Show me your stethoscope" on FB.
On second thought, wondering if this thread was started just to try to stir something up? Not gonna use the 't' word, but it does seem to be a possibility.
If so, I bit, darn it!

I'm sure a forum with the name "nurses show your stethoscopes" will be active and relevant for many years to come.
